Ordering problem

Post by vangyver »

After logging in to the forum I click on The A2A icon that brings me to the store. During checkout "REGISTER" and "LOGIN" email address cannot be the same. Finally, I got locked out.

Hello,

I am not following?

The register will require a different email than log-in is correct as one will log you into your store account and the register is to register a new account on the store for new users.

thanks,
Lewis

“The register will require a different email than log-in is correct” So this forces one to have two email addresses.

Unable to place an order. Someone from tech support will have to contact me via email so we can find the problem.
Thank You,
Van

nope just one email address is needed, the store and forums are entirely separate systems. If you have forgotten your password you can simply use the normal forgotten password system to get yourself access to your account.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I found the problem. Microsoft Edge saves the passwords as following (Picture 1). Note: Actual email change to “My Email Address” for security purposes in Picture 1 and 3.

After logging into the forum, I then clicked the A2A icon to go to the store. On logging in it will default to your forum login information. (Picture 2) ALSO: If you put a check mark in remember me on Picture 2 and you try using your registered password you will change your password in Microsoft Edge for the forum causing you more confusion.

You have to change this to the email address you registered with. (Picture 3)

I believe a fix for the above is to change the wording under LOGIN to “Registered Email Address”. (Remove Username)
That way the right and left data validation box is coordinated.

Are you ok to log in all ok now?

The reason the page states login and then the box for username/email as both can be used to log in. When you create a store account a username is set for you if you wish to use that rather than an email.
