Momentum Effect

Post by vangyver »

I built my simulator using a real pa28 Cherokee fuselage. During the take off roll the panel moves closer and a bit upward. It must be some type of momentum effect built into the Piper Cherokee aircraft simulation. This effect makes it appear your holding back pressure on the control yoke even if you’re not. Is there a way to turn off the effect or to decrease it? I also unchecked G-effect under Options / realism. I also tried editing the aircraft.cfg file, CameraDefinition.001 / 002 and 003. MomentumEffect = Yes to false and also No with no effect changes.
Thanks in advance,
Van

Have you double checked you turned all camera effects off in the platform itself, as there should be nothing in the cherokee itself that does what you mention. That just sounds like P3D movement itself on the initial thrust.

thanks,

Yes, you are correct. It is a prepar3d setting.
Windows 7 Pro
AppData/Roaming/LockheedMartin/Prepar3d
Cameras.cfg
[CameraDefinition.002]
Title = Virtual Cockpit
Guid = {C95EAB58-9E4A-4E2A-A34C-D8D9D948F078}
Description = This is the description of the virtual cockpit view.
Origin = Virtual Cockpit
MomentumEffect = Yes - Change to No

Thank You So Much for your help,
Van
