Throttle Calibration - zero to 1900

Post by ya-jow »

I'm configuring our Prepar3D-v5 install with the Saitek Pro throttle quadrant.

The response of the quadrant during testing is smooth from 0-255.

In the sim, throttle at 0 leads to a very rough LOW idle (probably appropriate on the ground)

However, advancing the quadrant to even the smallest increment causes an on-screen jump of the throttle to about 1/3-1/2 open.

Does anyone else have this experience? Is this an Accusim thing? Any suggestions to resolve?

THANKS!

Hello and welcome to the A2A forums.

It sounds like there may be a control conflict with your throttle input to the sim. To help us get to the bottom of this issue, please could you let us know exactly how you're mapping the axis in question? For example, are you using the axis assignments in P3Dv5 itself, Saitek software, or other third-party software such as FSUIPC and/or SPAD.neXt?

Thanks,

Howdy again -- I'm using SPAD.neXT 0.9.8.6

Hi and thanks for the PM notification about your reply. What's the actual name of the axis you're assigning via SPAD.neXt? For example "throttle set", "throttle1 set" etc? Also, if you assign the same hardware axis via P3D's inbuilt control settings as a test, do you see the same issue?

Thanks,

Looks like I was NOT connecting that axis with SPAD, rather directly to P3D. I deleted those and mapped via SPAD and it reacts correctly.

Thanks for pointing out the options!
