Are you using the correct add-on process to add new directories for P3Dv4? It sounds like you are maybe not?

http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 08&t=59802

Please note a reinstall will be needed for you to correct any issue.

Well my addon.cfg is below

Code: Select all

[Package.0]
PATH=L:\A2A_installpath\A2A\
TITLE=A2A P3D Add-Ons
ACTIVE=TRUE
REQUIRED=FALSE
I guess it is correct as I can see the plane active in menu Options/Add-ons

Got bored.
Uninstall all, delete directories.
reboot, Re-install using all default choices.

Same problem :cry: :cry:
I'm afraid nobody figure out what's wrong.

Maybe I can only give up...

Can you post your whole addon cfg, no one else has posted any issues such as this so something on your system and I suspect your editing for the directories is incorrect and causing you issues. This is why we use the default directory in the installer and have the option as labelled as advanced as you really do want to read through the documentation for how P3Dv4 works and how its different from previous versions.

Hi sorry for delay, just coming back.

As I said I completely uninstall and reinstall cherokee using default parameters.
Add-ons.cfg is now

[Package.0]
PATH=T:\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A
ACTIVE=true
REQUIRED=false

Only these 4 lines.

When you uninstalled are you mopping up any left overs with manual deletions?

Given no one else has had any issues like this and you mention editing in the past, I think something you edited must be left behind after your uninstall which is causing you continued issues on your particular system.

Also just to ask, your not running anything like the migration tool or anything similar like that which is known to cause any number of issues with installations and software and is not recommend to be used.

Hi,

I first installed in a custom created folder in main P3D directory.
I'm not sure anymore but I guess I had to delete this folder that was empty after uninstalling.

Now install is the default one. Even if my /document is located on another hard drive with all rights granted.

Never used that kind of migration tools

I can try to uninstall one more. How can I ensure any trace is wiped out ?

Check all folders in your my docs folders and app data folders to and make sure all reg keys are removed with at least one restart of the system would be a clean install.

Hi checking reg keys, I realized that the FSX version of the cherokee is already installed on this computer.
Perhaps it might cause trouble in the install process ?

Are you trying to add products to your platform before you have first setup the platform?

What do you mean exactly by "products" and "platform" ?

The platform is P3D, products are all third party content. Before you add ANYTHING to P3D you should first install and run and check all running ok the base platform and its functions, along with at least one system restart after its installation and first run.
