unable to change battery or complete overhaul

hello guys,
i need your help with my prepar3d cherokee 180. after installation of the cherokee i found out that the battery is dead among other things. going to the maintenace page and clicking battery change or complete overhaul the situation did not change. so up until now i am unable to start the cherokee. i have updated already to no effect. any suggestions will be highly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Hello,

you may need to install sim-connect if things are broken for you in the hanger and not repairing.

P3D - Installed but nothing works and all is broken!?

P3DV2 sometimes wont install the required simconnect files. No worries though as they are provided by Lockheed in the following directory;
\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\redist\Interface\FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib

Thanks for your reply. We have copied the sim connect.cfg to the prepar3d folder and tested it but still the same situation. We noticed the file of the simconnect.cfg is just 1 Kb , is this the right file? We googled simconnect and downloaded it. Thanks again for your help

You need to run the installer located in the directory noted by Lewis.

It probably did not damage anything to copy the file to some other location, but that was not the necessary action.

Right Click on the simconnect.msi in the directory mentioned by Lewis, and select install.

Thanks for all the valuable help, got it up n running already. Now I just need to change my desk top cause I found out it is in the lower end of the spectrum already, hehe. Once agin many thanks
