Exteriour lights do nothing...?

Post by J van E »

I just did my first night flight with the Cherokee 180 and I noticed that turning the strobe and beacon on or off makes no difference at all...! Nothing happens! The tips of the wings do show a little colored dot but they don't react at all to the switches. I also noticed the landing light doesn't illuminate the ground. When I go to the external view I do see the landing light being on but it has no use at all. I did enable the option to have landing lights illuminate the ground.

I am using P3D btw, professional license.

Hello,

this is a known P3D bug. You must reload the user vehicle via the key command (may need mapping in P3D). Lockheed have said this is fixed in the next version of the platform.

thanks,

Ah, ok... Assigning a key to 'Reload user object' and using it, doesn't do anything. Reloading the plane using the plane selection screen does indeed (sometimes) enable the landing lights but still no strobe or beacon. Guess I'll have to wait for LM's fix then!

Hello,

I believe if the reload user object doesn't do anything then you have hit another P3D bug that I also encountered. I had to go through a few different mappings before the sim decided to reload my aircraft. A reload of the sim itself might also be required after the control mapping.

thanks,
