KAP140 autopilot in the Cherokee?

Post by CoolDanLuke »

I love flying the Cherokee, but the limitations with the STEC autopilot with constant trimming gets tiring. Anyways to add something like the KAP140 to the model?

I don't think it's possible to change or add an autopilot, but wiser heads might know better. You should review the STEC manual. I've flown the Cherokee around the world with that autopilot and I was NOT constantly trimming. I know its "altitude hold" feature is a bit different but it works just fine for me. https://a2asimulations.com/downloads/ma ... -30alt.pdf

As ratty mentioned you shouldn't be trimming loads unless you are in some really dodgy weather, the Cherokee is pretty stable, you be trimming mostly as normal for power changes etc.

thanks,

Thanks for your answers. The question is not how to use the STEC, but how can I add a KAP140 in the Cherokee.
