Hello everybody,
I wanted to share something I've been working on for a while now.
A printable manual for the Cherokee which contains checklists, procedures and flight planning material.
My goal was to create something that has all, or close to all, information required to perform a decent flight, and have it printed, laminated and bound.
At the moment, I haven't proceeded to the print, laminate and bind stage yet, because I know from experience how much it sucks to pay €20 to have that done, only to discover a typo afterwards.
Anyway, if you want to use it, you can. But keep in mind I'm calling this v0.9, because it's bound to contain items that can be fixed or improved.
The Weight and Balance calculator is a simple extension of some of the work required for the manual. It's an spreadsheet page that you can use to calculate total weight and CG position for the Cherokee.
Anyway, here's the file:

And here some examples of how it looks:
Let me know what you think! Feedback and constructive criticism more than welcome!
Lars
EDIT: The spelling error in the last screenshot has already been fixed.

Re: Cherokee manual booklet and WB calculator
This is awesome! Thank you so much for your hard work! I'll download and run through it
Re: Cherokee manual booklet and WB calculator
For those interested, I've updated the manual.
Changes:
- Fixed some minor errors
- Slight fine-tuning to the layout
- More consistent use of capitalization on the limitations page
- Changed all instances of "Fuel Pump" to "Electric Fuel Pump" for consistency and clarity
I've updated the version number to 0.95 to indicated these changes
Some more typo's have been found and corrected in the weight and balance calculator spreadsheet pages as well.
The download link remains the same, and can be found in the first post.
Thanks,
Lars

Re: Cherokee manual booklet and WB calculator
Lars,
Many thanks for your nice and straight to the point manual. Much appreciated!
I've never paid much attention in flightsim general aviation aicrafts so far to the weight loading and center of gravity.
Sorry for my ignorance, but practically once the center of gravity is determined, what do I need to do in the A2A Cherokee cockpit?
I would appreciate if someone can explain.

Re: Cherokee manual booklet and WB calculator
You're welcome, glad you like it!
In the Cherokee you're CG calculation will not give you a fixed trim setting to set like in an airliner.
You might take it into account when setting take-off trim, but if I remember correctly, neutral take-off trim will do fine in the Cherokee in all but the most extreme situations.
I'd figure it's mostly a matter of staying within legal and aircraft limitations.
Obviously, an overloaded aircraft will not fly as you'd expect.
And one with CG too far forward or aft will either not want to fly, or be (almost) uncontrollable once in the air.

Re: Cherokee manual booklet and WB calculator
Thank you Lars,
The trim... I get it now.
I'm flying the PMDG777 and the FMC gives me the trim based on the CG.
But I don't why I did not make the link with a general aviation aircraft like the Cherokee.
