Hi,
I have not been able to start C172 trainer in P3D version 5 ("no oil pressure", the propeller does not move etc.)
However, I am able to start every built-in plane in P3D.
What could be the problem.

Hello,
before you start up have you checked the aircraft is fit for flight in the maintenance hanger and walkaround?
Checked it has the correct fuel, oil etc in the fuel load manager?
The manual for your C172 if you are new to Accu-sim simulation complexity is located under your windows Start button > A2A Simulations. Well worth a flick through additional to asking questions here on the forums where we will do our best to help get you up and flying in the realistic simulations asap.
thanks,
Lewis - A2A

Re: Cessna 172 trainer for P3D
Very good advice, thank you.
I was trying to get to test about the aerodynamics and avionics (to see, what to expect in FS2020 w/ accu-sim 2.0 in the near future).
I will look at the manuals, thanks, but one question: is there a way to bypass the pre-flight checks - just to test the flight model etc. of C172?

Also my Virtual-Fly controllers (Yoko+, Ruddo+, V3RNIO+, Switcho Trims etc.) do not work well with A2A C172 Trainer. Instead they work well with P3D build-in planes.
Mismatch between P3D v. 5 and C172 Trainer.

Yes you can just quick start, so long as you make sure the aircraft itself is fit for flight prior to this.

Re: Cessna 172 trainer for P3D
If your controls are probably locked by default to the relaxed realism of the default simulation, you'll need to custom map things for advanced add-ons. Things like the included A2A input tool can help with this.

Yes,
I begin with cold & dark start.
Then I turn damage => off (yes, I know, I perform priming etc.)
So far

Hi,
(non-working controls) I will also contact Virtual-Fly about their VFHub control software.
Btw, I got Varjo Aero to work with Cessna 172 trainer - the issue remains that initially the viewpoint is a few feet above the wing (I have to "recalibrate origin" for every flight.

Re: Cessna 172 trainer for P3D
The view point thing sounds like you dont have it set in your VR headset correctly. P3D out the box will use this for the first head position, however when it comes to VR the most important button you can set in seated experiences like flight sim and racing sims is the reset head position button. You'll 99.9% of times be pushing it at the beginning of the loaded session to get your head position set correctly.
thanks,
Lewis
