P3D v5.3 After installing C172, the Texture Resolution Ultra settings are not saved.

Post by Alex.71 »

Hi!
After installing the A2A, the C172 (P3D Academic) noticed a strange feature. When I set the Texture Resolution in the Image and Texture Quality settings on Ultra - 4096x4096 and save, the setting returns to High - 2048x2048. Also, the AA: and Texture Filtering settings change down.
Could this be due to the A2A installation C172 or could it be due to Orbx Global or other Orbx products?

Have there already been such appeals and what to do about it?
Thank you!
Aleksey

Hi Aleksey,

If I recall correctly, I think there have been some reports of this happening if a complex add-on such as the 172 is saved within your default start-up scenario. This is one of the reasons why we recommend to use a default aircraft for the default scenario.

Please can you just confirm what aircraft your default flight currently loads?

Thanks,
Nick

Nick,
Now, by default, C 172 is loaded. Cleared the P3D folder in the Documents. Doing tests. I like the plane, I want to make the maximum settings.

Thank you!

Nick,
Tested again with C 172, also the settings are not remembered and return to Custom. Default C 152, settings are remembered. I cleared the folder - Documents - Prepar3D_v5, there is no result.
How do I understand that this problem has already been raised? I read different forums, there are no solutions.

If this means that the A2A 172 is your saved default flight, you may have missed what Nick said here...

It is worth changing your default flight to one with a default airplane, then loading the A2A 172 into the flight from the Scenario screen, just to see if that fixes your issue.

Cheers,

Rob, thanks!

I realised what Nick had written and removed C 172 from the default scenario. I realized that C 172 is a complex add-on. I experimented a little more with the settings and now everything is in order.
This is certainly not a little convenient, but now I load the Scenario with a default airplane and then change it to C 172.

Nick and Rob, thanks again for your advice!

Good flights for you,
Aleksey
