Custom Engine / Aircraft Time

Post by jphustman »

I bought a Cessna 172 in the game FSEconomy, it has a little over 17 hours on it now (in the game) - So I copied one of my A2A planes and created a custom texture, and created a new entry in the aircraft.cfg, now how do I make it a 17 engine hour plane? I thought changing the state.cfg in AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\SimObjects\A2A_C172 accumulated time would do it but the 'hobbs counter' in the place still shows 60hours, how would I give the plane a specific age? I want to simulate the same hours on this plane as the one I have in FSEconomy.
I updated
[engine.0]
accumulated_time=17.950000 (from 4.276504)

that didn't work so then I added:
[engine.4]
accumulated_time=17.950000

but that didn't work either.
Here is my whole file state.cfg now: ([fltsim.4] is my custom plane)

[FltSim.4]
atc_airline=
atc_flight_number=0
[FltSim.3]
atc_airline=
atc_flight_number=0
[engine.0]
accumulated_time=4.276504
[FltSim.0]
atc_airline=
atc_flight_number=0
[FltSim.1]
atc_airline=
atc_flight_number=0
[engine.4]
accumulated_time=17.950000

Thank you!!

A2A aircraft data are stored outside the fsx/p3d system. You'll find it at %userprofile%\documents\a2a\fsx\cessna172
Assigning a specific profile to your custom a2a c172 you'll have to deal with wrapper scripts before starting your FS.

Well, those all seem to be uneditable binary files. I tried searching the forums with no luck on how to do this.

Hello,

you cant do that the hours are not editable. We do not support the editing of the aircraft cfg files for this sort of thing. Accu-sim is an external engine running external to the sim to produce the realistic simulations of the engine, physics etc etc.

thanks,
