Good Afternoon Gentlemen,
I have the carb heat setup in FSX Settings to "H", however, it does NOT work in the 3-D cockpit. What am I going incorrectly? Also, is there a way to expand on the C-172 Configuration Input settings? I can think of several more to add to make the flights a bit easier.

Re: Carb Heat/Input Settings
This model is fuel injected and there is no carburetor.

Well, DUH!!!! I flew the models IRL that had that Carb Heat! LOL. What about the C-172 Configuration Input settings? Is there a way to expand on the selections?

BTW, thanks for the reply!!

Re: Carb Heat/Input Settings
Hello Dennis,
There's no way to add more functions to the input configurator if that's what you're asking. However, most shortcuts not present there are included in the basic FSX/P3D settings. For other, more advanced options, a registered copy of FSUIPC can be used to program text macros using the L:Var list here.
What sort of additional shortcuts did you have in mind?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Carb Heat/Input Settings
Hi Nick,
I do have a registered copy of FSUIPC. Please let me know what functions I can program to help me control the A/C better. In FSX, I have ALL the sliders set to the max and the Null zones set to about 3 ticks. It has helped in control, but I am sure I can do MUCH better if I knew what/how to program in FSUIPC.
Thank you so much for your reply,
Dennis

Re: Carb Heat/Input Settings
Hi Dennis,
Is not so much a case of mapping functions to allow better control of the aircraft (if you're talking about elevator, aileron and rudder inputs) but allowing you to use keyboard and hardware shortcuts for functions which would be controlled with switches and buttons in the real plane.
If you can give us an idea of what shortcuts you had in mind, we can try to help.
For the control surface inputs, this pinned topic may be helpful if you haven't already seen it.
Thanks,
Nick
