I know you have had this question before but I am using P3D v 4.
How do I get the engine Heater option to (work or show), when I use SHIFT+3.
I have already been to Maintenance Hanger (SHIFT+7) , and installed the Engine Heater Kit.
My Cessna 172 engine is off and the ties are down.
I read somewhere that with FSX you have to turn on advanced animations, but on my P3D v 4 I can't find such an option.

Re: Engine Heater cannot be selected
It should just be a case of installing it in the maintenance hangar and then clicking the corresponding text in the Shift 3 menu. The only visual sign that the heater is installed is the wire trailing from the oil filler door on top of the cowling.
If you're not seeing this, when you click the text in Shift 3, does it change from grey to white?
Thanks,
Nick

no, there is no change in colour of button. I have also done everything that you have mentioned.

Re: Engine Heater cannot be selected
Hmm - that's odd. When you select the engine heater in the hangar, does it disappear from view on the right hand side of the window as it's installed in the aircraft?
Thanks,
Nick

In the maintenance hanger the engine heater kit is either lit or not lit (invisible)/ selected or not selected.

The is the footage from the program:

It shows in the outside view that I am unable to select engine heater.

Re: Engine Heater cannot be selected
Thanks for the video - that helps a lot. It looks like you're removing the engine heater in the hangar, rather than adding it. Bear in mind this part is pictured to the right as 'left in the hangar' when not fitted to the plane, the same as with the wheel fairings and gap seals.

Nick

Thanks I thought I was doing something wrong.
Thank you, I understand now. I have tried again and it works perfectly!
