P3D, FSUIPC and Linda. P3D is the only program I know of that would give those messages.

Okay, thanks for the info. FSUIPC can also show messages. Could you try loading P3D with the FSUIPC.dll disabled? Simply move the FSUIPC5.dll to a temporary folder before launching the sim.

Same error msg.

I even tried checking the report box, saving, and unchecking and saving just in case it was 'stuck'.
Reran the installer for P3D and it is now uptodate. Same error though.

Okay, thanks for trying that.

Any way you can give us a clue as to what software is creating these messages? As mentioned, a screenshot would probably help or failing that the exact text of the message box including the window title.

As mentioned, I don't know how to post a screen shot. And its from P3D 4.5.

Thanks for the pic srm. Unfortunately the message box doesn't include the name of whatever's creating it.

Despite doing a bit of research, I've been unable to identify what software is displaying the P3D content errors as message boxes. I'll enquire on the P3D forum in case anyone there knows, but in the meantime I recommend you systematically rule out each add-on and utility which is running by starting the sim without them. This includes FSUIPC and LINDA which you mentioned, and any software which you haven't let us know about like ActiveSky which seems to be installed.

Thanks,

Active sky doesn't look at aircraft. FSUIPC was already disabled in an earlier posted test, which disables LINDA which uses FSUIPC. Still got the error. Has to be from P3D

If these were native P3D error message boxes srm, everyone would be encountering them but you're the only one reporting this behaviour.

Therefore, seem likely it's other software which has modified P3D's behaviour or which is producing these messages independently. Unless you can list everything that's interacting with your P3D installation, we'll have a hard time guessing what's responsible.

Those are the only programs I know of. P3D, FSUIPC, LINDA and ASNext. Which many others use. This reporting didn't happen until I switched to Win10. Don't know what else to tell you.

It's a mystery for sure. Nobody on the P3D forum seems to have any idea what's generating the messages either. Maybe it's some Windows application that's running?

However, try downloading this zip file and copying its contents (gauge bitmaps from within the P3D core files) into the following directory:

Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A\SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_C172\panel\gps

This should hopefully clear up most of the errors being reported.

Will investigate, but for now please just okay it. I believe you may also see some messages about a missing "null.wav" which you should be able to fix if you copy this file in the folder below.

Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A\SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_C172\sound

Just wanted to add a link to a corrected version of the gps_integration.xml file srm. It looks like there's a missing space in the installed version. If you download this file and use it to replace the copy in your installation...

Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A\SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_C172\panel\A2A_C172

...It should resolve the final content error related to the 172 being reported by your system.

I'm afraid we're still none-the-wiser as to what's preventing your installation from simply ignoring these errors. If you have any special Windows apps installed, please let us know.

Thanks,
Nick
