Why is it that if it's raining you get the excellent rain effects, but when it stops raining the effects still on?
This is on P3D v4.5HF2. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Re: VC Rain FX Issue
Hi DJJose,
Are you using default weather in P3D, or an add-on such as ActiveSky to load the rainy weather? Also, how long are you waiting after the rain stops for the windshield effects to clear?
Thanks,
Nick

Happy holidays.
I was actually using ASP4 while testing ORBX Netherlands. The weather was rain & poor visibility. The effects and sounds are awesome, but I wanted to see the scenery. So I shut down ASP4 and decided use the fair weather theme, but the rain effects remained. I tried cold front & building storms, but the vc rain fx did not disappeared. I had to exit the sim and start over.

Yes this is correct, at the sim start you need to chose if you are using the default or an advanced weather engine. You cannot swap between the two on the fly.
