I did the new update and still the same issue. As long as I don’t update the c172 it runs fine. Once I do the update the c172 disappears.

Thanks Andrew, but as mentioned did you do a 'Client only' upgrade to P3Dv4.5, or did you do a full uninstall and reinstall of the simulator?

Please can you double-check the version number for each of the P3D components in your list of installed apps. It definitely sounds like something in your installation of P3Dv4.5 is incomplete and preventing the PBR model from displaying.

Cheers,

I did a client only update I guess would be the technical term. I downloaded p3dv4.5 hot fix 2 from p3d website and ran the updater.

Okay, at the minimum you need to update the Client and Content components to use PBR models Andrew. If you still have an old version of the Content component installed, this most likely explains the issue.

Pretty sure I did that. I clicked the top download link which is the complete p3d and then ran it.

Sorry been very busy at work. interest rates just keep dropping. I’ll try downloading new client and component content from P3D website and updating them. I purchased the j3 yesterday and installed it to find the same issue as the c172. Really trying to avoid a full reinstall of P3D.

Problem solved. I went to p3d website and re-downloaded the client.msi and content.msi.
I then installed them and uninstalled them and then installed them again. The C172 and J3 look amazing. Can’t wait to take them for a spin when the kids go to sleep.
