Re: C172 Autopilot question
Hi doksas,
I'm afraid that just modifying the panel.cfg file to show the default FSX C172 autopilot panel won't really work, because the A2A 172 uses a custom KAP 140 autopilot simulation.
Regards,
Nick

Re: C172 Autopilot question
Hi Nick
I think doksas would like a 2d panel for the autopilot, just like we have a 2d panel for the radios??
Maybe this is a good idea??

Re: C172 Autopilot question
Hi Tomas,
I guess adding the autopilot to the Shift 6 "quick radios" panel wouldn't be impossible, but I'm afraid it's not something I can foresee happening any time soon due to other development priorities.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: C172 Autopilot question
Yes Tomas, just 2d panel for A2A C172 KAP 140, not for default FSX AP.Tomas Linnet wrote: ↑26 Jul 2019, 16:05 Hi Nick

I think this not a big job, but i dont know to do this thing...
EDIT:
I need this because i must play FSX without high resolution cockpit option ( old lap top, very poor fps with this high res) , and then, numbers in cockpit ( AP, radios etc)
is unusable...ok, radios frequency numbers not problem, here is 2d panel, but autopilot is big problem and i must fly only very short VFR routes without autopilot.

Re: C172 Autopilot question
Hi doksas,
Afraid we don't have any plans to add further 2-D panels at this time. It takes rather more than just panel.cfg edits to accomplish this kind of thing.
Using the high-resolution virtual cockpit option in the A2A C172 really shouldn't make much difference to FPS because nearly all of the cockpit elements are displayed in high resolution anyway. It's only the display numerals which are affected.
Maybe there are some other graphics settings which you can turn down instead?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: C172 Autopilot question
Ok Nick, thanks for reply,
but, with unchecked high-resolution virtual cockpit option i have 20-25 fps on ground, then all other settings is same and only checked high-resolution virtual cockpit option, fps drop to 8-10... on same default FSX airport scenery.

Re: C172 Autopilot question
Ok, i am found temporary solution...from this forum, P-40 'Civilianized' Mods vintage autopilot i add to 2d panel and work with KAP 140 . Not work all, but numbers for altitude set, VS set work!
Now i go fly long route with my C172
