Air Manager P3d - A2A C172 - How to ?

Post by RMM »

I understand that it is possible to convert Air Manager gauges to be compatible with the A2A C172 trainer. Or maybe it is the opposite - converting the A2A C172 to run with Air Manager.

I know this has something to do with a lot of code and LVARS.

Anyone done this already? SimInnovations / Air Manager has no requests for this except from me. So it is not a priority for their updates.

Maybe if LOTS of C172 pilots here would make the request, it would make sense for SimInnovations to do the code.

I want to stay with P3d and my C172 trainer. I would like to run Air Manager.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Very steep Learning curve on LVARS and code.
Anyone doing this for the complete A2A C172 panel?

Air Manager is a great tool. Fully implemented on other sim platforms.

Hoping there is more interest?

Thanks

I'm running stock Air Manager Gauges with my A2A C172 and all are functional.

I've done a modest amount of LVar work on my A2A 172 to get some of the avionics functions and a few cockpit controls working. But, I haven't done much with the gauges yet. The stock Air Manager gauges work with the A2A 172 but, they may not work as accurately as the A2A gauges do. I have it on my to do list to work on this at some future date but have not gotten to it yet given several other priorities on my build list.

Have you made any headway on this yet?

Hello Tom G..
Great to see your post. Yes, some headway. See this thread.

Ludwik and I exchanged some PM's and also I finally got a more clear reply from the Air Manager team that clarified that the stock / free to try gauges are A2A compatible. All previous responses from them had been focused on the premium panel which is a work in progress and not a priority.,

That said, I am in Malaysia conducting some programs through to the end of August. Upon return, I will definitely bring out my new HP touch screen and have a go.

For sure I will contact you then by PM and we can form a support group amongst the three of us to help get me up and running. I have the Knobster device ready as well.

Thanks again.
