Problems using Saitek Panel

Post by Telefisch »

As I was told, I will open a new threat for my problems.
First of all my System:
Windows 7 pro
Spad 0.5.0
Saitek Joke and pedals
Radiopanel
Multipanel
Switchpanel

Everything works fine with built in planes!

1) First of all, after landing the brakes do not work as expected.
There is only marginal pressure, far away from reality.
2) Cowling Switch doesn't affect anything. Shouldn't it switch the carburetor-heat?
3) switching flaps down only works 20deg, sometimes 30deg, upwards sometimes up to 20deg, never to zero.
4) Trimwheel doesn't effect anything.

Is somebody here, who can help with some tips?
thanks and happy landings

Hello,

One quick question before the troubleshooting can begin in earnest. Have you already installed the latest Accu-Sim update? It's available here and is definitely the first thing you should do if you haven't already. It is necessary even for new downloads from the A2A store or from other vendors.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi

I'm on holiday now and don't have access to my gaming PC for the next week. When I get home I'll be more than happy to help, as I run the same hardware and software as you.
I use a registered copy of FSUIPC, I'm not sure if it's possible to get everything working without FSUIPC.
Kind Regards
Tomas

Hello,

you will need to right click and select run as admin this will run the application as administrator and allow it access to the relevant folder in your windows OS. Alternatively you can set UAC off which I advise against or set folder permissions so the relevant folders give your standard user full access to read, write and edit.

thanks,

Hi Telefisch

I'm sorry to report that I use the registered FSUIPC and LINDA to get my Saitek Panels working with the C172. I'm not at my gaming PC at the moment, so I cant tell you where I bought it. Please note you can use the A2A add ons without the Saitek stuff.
Kind Regards
Tomas

This will solve your problems.
1. Do you use paid FSUPIC? Calibrate your toe brakes there. You can increase the pressure using slope. Without it you will not be able to do anything.
2. Carb heat will not work on the cowling switch on you panel. It uses LVARS. You can code it with LINDA possible full on and full off but I Use the Input config and set it to a axis on a throttle quad.
3. In spad 0.5.0 create a profile for the 172. Go to your multipanel config and select flaps. Use the keyboard emulation for up and down IE F7 up F6 down if your fsx keys are not changed.
4. Trimwheel you will need FSUPIC for that to work.

I use all the above settings with no problems so I know they work.

Thanks for your answer but I bought a simulator-plane and will shurely NOT buy any additional Software!
This should have been said before selling!

Other Plane also work without a paid FSUIPC.
If there is no other way to get this running, I want my money back!
:x

Configuring Multipanel with Keycodes runs but only in 20 deg. steps.

Sorry cant help you then. Just a note FSUPIC paid is not required for a2a aircraft. The aircraft will function with keyboard keybinds programing in the config editor. When you add other controls, (IE Saitek Panel's) and the aircraft uses custom programing(LVARS) you need additional software. You can try LINDA which is free to download but I do not know if it will solve all your problems.

Ok, now I know it was the wrong decision.
Piad for a piece of software without any support exept investing more and more!
It is funny that original planes run without any additional software. Bad work!

Thanks guys, I will sure advise this company to my friends.
Many thanks !

Telefisch

Please understand that A2A cannot do any support on the Saitek panel. Saitek panels is not necessary for the A2A C172. A2A never promised the Saitek panel would work out of the box and Saitek only said it would work with the Flight Simulator software, nothing about compatibly with any 3rd party software.
Of course it is your decision if you want to pay for more software, but please don't blame A2A for bad support

Kind regards
Tomas
A very happy customer
