shock absorbers

Post by mike4370 »

I know in the last update, the suspension was made more realistic and the airplanes wobbles more on taxing. sometimes it seems a little bit too much, is there a way to bring it down a little?

Hello,

theirs no way to edit this. Which part do you think is too much? The little GA's don't half bounce about a lot during taxi and braking. Also remember that if an Ezdok use you might want to tame your ezdok more than the aircraft, as ezdok models the head movement rather than aircraft movements.

thanks,
Lewis

FSX also has a "feature" to give head movement. I can't find it right now, but there is a line to delete in the FSX config file.
Kind Regards

hi Lewis, no i dont have ezdok. its not really that big a deal, i was just wondering if you could edit this or not becuase sometimes it does seem to bounce around a little too much on taxiing. i might not be quite used to the difference yet either. I guess it does seem a little more realistic. will A2A be at flightsimcon in connecticut this year? im going and would be nice to talk with you guys in person :) Im looking forward to see what A2A has in store for the future.

Hello,

I wont personally be there as I'm due to Oshkosh instead, but yes we are premium sponsors and will be present with a full booth (which potentially will have an awesome feel to it). Scott will be the man on the ground so you will be able to speak directly with el boss man hehe

cheers,

Mike, it's not too much, it's right on the money. We mounted cameras on the wheels and measured the flex under hard braking, landing, takeoff, etc and have it right in line in the simulation. Your perception may be a bit off from flying other sims that don't model the suspension right, and you've come to feel this is how planes feel on the ground. Now you experience something like a real plane, and it's a bit surprising.

Scott.
