Plane body totally transparent from inside VC view

After over a week of enjoying the 172 I started FSX to find that the body of the plane is now completely transparent (except the windows bizarrely which are normal!). The panel remains visible. All my 3rd party and default aircraft are without problems. No installs or Windows updates were applied(these are disabled) and no changes to FSX.CFG were made. Earlier in the day everything had been fine.

Anyone help? This has renedered the plane unusable

Check the TROUBLESHOOTING FAQ in this forum, specifically checking that COMPLEX ANIMATIONS are checked.

Problem solved by deleting shaders folder and letting fsx rebuild it. Don't know why I didn't try this first!

Wow v strange. Never heard of this one before ill have to try and remember this one for other customers to try if it comes up again.

Yeah I've not seen this happen before. It's a pity I deleted rather than recycle-binned the shader folder as I'd like to have restored it, recreated the issue and try and understand how it originated. Never mind at least it leaves me more flying time!

Had the same transparent texture problem AFTER the new 1.5.2 Accu-Sim Core Update not only on the C172 but all of my A2A aircraft. Turned 'Preview DirectX 10' [ Display / Graphics / Preview DirectX 10 ] and resolved the issue for ALL A2A aircraft. Hint, Hint, ???? Have another issue since new core involving Shift # keys not working but will post as a new item.

Al did you turn DX10 Preview on or off?

Scott.... Turned it ON. It was off because of an FSX & Accel reload in attempt to resolve other C172 issues.

Have you tried deleting the shaders folder as suggested above?
The plane certainly works in DX10 mode.
