Walkaround

Post by Capt. Wotan »

Hello,

Just purchased and installed the plane.

Tell me, how does one access the 'walkaround'? Shift-8 doesn't work, the rest of the panels are accessible from the "Instruments" section, but not the walk around...

Have you by chance checked all requirements here: http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 08&t=35640 , especially also the various settings?
You might also follow the other tread dealing with this issue: http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 08&t=35648

Not really sure what any of those requirements would have on this issue.

I am getting the 2D panels, not via the key strokes, but via the panel menu. The only missing one is the 'walkaround'.

Thanks

I am having exactly the same problem. No panles with shift key combinations but can get them through the panle menu except walkaround.

Well, it is just a suggestion to check the requirements before proceeding on with troubleshooting. Have you by chance installed FSX-booster? I remember that we once had an issue with that as it manipulates bitmaps uncontrollably. BTW the walkaround panel is NOT included in the menu bar as calling it from there caused problems during development. I'm not in the position however to give more technical details on that.

Please i took no offence, nor was i being dismissive. I did read through the FAQ. But the suggestions didn't seem to apply to this scenario.

I have now restarted as suggested in the other thread. No difference.

I have removed most of the key mappings in FSX is this would make a difference? The menu "Instruments" within FSX does contain the other 2D panels, all of which work perfectly, even though i run eyefinity and 5760x1080. There just isn't an option for the 'walkaround'. None of the Shift - X work.

I have EZCA installed, but not on this aircraft.

No i don't have "FSX Booster", just a couple of manual tweaks HIGHMEM etc...

Indeed... Are you running Eyefinity, or a resolution similar to mine?

I had something similar with the Aerosoft DA-40, it needed to be run on a single screen.

Do you still have in the keyboard controls menu "views" section the "SHIFT-1" to "SHIFT-9" combos assigned to something like "instrument panel 1" to "instrument panel 9" (sorry I have to translate as I use the FSX German Version)?

Hello "Lonewolf"

Probably not. It's a new install, by default i remove all key mappings other than Pause, No Sound and the Time Controls.

I'll re-add them

Upps, yeah, that sounds bad  Those are the default keys used to invoke the 2D panels.

I also use EZDok and delete most of the FSX key mappings as I use FSUIPC for all keyboard and controller assignments.
