This is about leaning the mixture during normal operation, I was reading this article and according to it (because I'm trying to get the hang of the mixture leaning) the article shows the red leaver, you're meant to twist the knob to your left (fuel\air decrease), then twist the same knob to your right (fuel\air increase) and last action is pushing the knob towards the panel. Would this apply to the C172? the movement of the red knob left, right and center? or dose this aircraft have just simply push inward or outward.

Hello,
this is the fine adjustment, you can simulate this by moving your mouse over the mixture control and moving your mousewheel up and down for fine control.
