Hi guys,
I've been flying in FSX for years. One thing I really hate is the rain effects, or lack of. I am flying the C172 trainer from A2A now and it is pouring down rain and the bad effects are getting to me. Its like a cylinder of textures coming at you!!!
I want the rain to look more realistic and when it rains, I want the drops to fall on the windscreen and make for a realistic experience.
I saw a few fixes on the internet but I wasn't sure which one to use.
So basically I want to get rid of the rain cylinder and also get Virtual Cockpit windshield rain.
Thanks!
Jamie

"Search" is your friend Jamie...
The Readers Digest version re VC..........it ain't happenin' any time soon.
Not sure whether one of the "weather" add-ons will solve your "cylinders of rain" problem. AS2012 is what I use and from memory that is bog standard FSX rain, as is P3D 2.0 as far as I recall that.

The developer, who would release just a "Real Rain Addon" without a huge drop of fps, would be a happy developer, cause 95% of us would buy it...

... and I remember an simulator, which was able to offer this: Flight Unlimited III... But in these times the other things hadn't the deep of the sceneries and aircrafts than today... But I liked the rain and drops very much!
