No worries mate, perfectly understandable, I have TAQ already, it is very awesome I have 1 hour flight time in TAQ in real life.

I'm after TAS and TAV because I have 2 hours in each one in real life, I have about 25 hours total C-172R time in real life most of that was on the original ZK-TAX before in was landed in the water a few years ago.
When I took my ref pics for TAQ, we did a quick flight in TAJ - but it's not my favourite livery.

I've just checked my old pics. Yes, I did take a few of TAS. TAV looks to be the same styling as TAS - just a colour change, so if I get round to doing them I could do both.

Adam.

That will be awesome.

Any idea when your above paint will be alive on AussieX?

It usually takes a day or two. It's not the quickest in the world, but it's an *excellent* site - and I tend to only place my repaints there so I can keep track of them more easily.

I'll update this topic as soon as I notice it's gone live.

UPDATE: It's now live: http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/fil ... 72-n2388l/.

:) ... I've made a tentative start on ZK-TAS - though I've no idea how far I'll get with it before Christmas. Weird thing about TAS is that it has the rego on the underside of the wing. Quite unusual.

That is awesome, I had added a two of my many pics I have taken of TAS for some inspiration.

In terms of the under wing rego quite a few of them have it including TAQ

I have quite a lot of pics I've taken of AFS cessnas at Ardmore and most of them seem to have the rego under the wing

That is nothing short of art right there, it looks so good when I saw your first pic I thought it was a photograph, it is too awesome.

What Ardmore scenery are you using?

Thanks for the kind comments! I must admit, I quite often dive into outside view and just *gawp*. I can't believe this relatively ancient sim can produce such imagery.

The Ardmore is just standard ORBX/FTX NZNI - surprisingly well done - though Whenuapai isn't that great. If you haven't got either of the two NZ FTX regions, I'd definitely suggest you put them on your Christmas list - along with NZMF! Some of the textures/areas around the Hauraki Gulf are wonderfully done.

Well I'm still in awe at this repaint, I can't wait to get it mate, well done on this one for sure.

Lewis, I wish I could claim working is over rated :D , I've been out of work for 3 years now, I've been getting my degree for the last 3.5 years and graduated this past September and I've been trying like mad to get my career started now, lucky I had a decent redundancy package and student loans have helped but now I need a decent job ASAP.

My "day" job is a web developer ... and with all the hacking, spamming and general vandalism that goes on these days, my job has turned into custard. 99% all-day fire-fighting. Grrr ... SO .. I'm turning to FSX more and more for light relief! It's also made my job far less profitable, so there's no way I can afford to fly for real!

I forgot to add a note to my previous post. Credit where credit's due - the A2A C172 paint files are highly detailed and easy to work with - and the model itself is a joy. Throw in some decent scenery and real weather and you can't fail!

All of my paints shown here in the forum have now been ( finally ) uploaded to AVSIM . Search for registration or my name .
Next is PH-VOP since 2005 with Dutch registration . Paint is based on N7274H with some minor changes .
