Post by motoadve »

They are cool but unrealsitic.
I dont think you could hear anything else than your own motor and guns.

We do not have an option to turn off unwanted sounds. Sorry.

I will add it to the long list of new features.

I know we dont have an option.
But there should be a manually procedure that can do this?

Do you mean a procedure such as reducing the volume level in the sampled files? I seem to recall someone doing this long ago, although I think there's something different about the files (not standard wav files). A number of people have expressed they don't like all the external noise, and I'm of the same mindset.

You can of course lower the effects volume and raise the engine in the GUI. Helps a little.

well just for you.
I have made a set of silent flyby sounds. this will get rid of the flyby sounds of both luftwaffe fighters and RAF fighters. I have left the bombers flyby sound though.
I personally like the flyby sounds but each to their own I suppose :)

you can get them here

http://www.btinternet.com/~the_soupdragon/BoB/flyby.zip

All you need to do is copy these files into yout SampleHI folder

BTW if you could send me your flybsraf.wav file it would be good cos I over writ mine.
send it to
the_soupdragon(at)btinternet.com
