Per Pixel Lighting

Post by Rummy »

Any one playing with shaders? Here is an example with a spec map in use. Specular highlighting is easier to see in a movie. right click save as to get the file. The specs are a bit over the top but I did this for demonstration purposes. Plus when normals are working it will break it up more.

Yep I think I fixed it. ISP gives me lots of free space but it is a pain to share stuff. right click save as will get it.

Here is what the spec texture looks like

Here is an older post briefly explaining the use of shaders:

I made great progress just today :D
I will send you something in an hour or two. However I will tweak a day or two more till I ship it to further people.

Edit:
The movie works. Looks excellent!

Glad to see you still working on this as the Pixel lighting results are quite outstanding. :)

yep, I did get it. The lighting is MUCH better, even with the old shader in use.

Glad to hear :).
You should still adapt your shaders to the new way of doing things. One vector is now in another coordinate system (model cs. instead of world cs.)
I hope to have the version for bump+normal maps in a day or two.
