Re-install of BOB2 required due to SSD crash

Post by Dukera »

I need to re-install BOB2 since my C SSD stopped working last week.
Fortunately I have a install up to 2.13 on another drive.
Could someone please fill me in on which files to keep prior to deleting the non-registery version of this sim?

Thanks in advance,
Dukera

You want to preserve your settings? Saved campaign files
are in savegame (oddly enough); image captures in stills.

Most settings are in the bdg.txt file in the root folder, except
joystick stuff in settings.cfg in savegame, and keystroke
tweaks in keyboard. If I've forgotten anything, as 2.13 went
out in Jan 2016, any file dated newer than that is a likely
candidate...

Was game running on your PC when your SSD crashed? If yes, then this problem is not something new, and it happens to a lot of users, it happened to me as well. When the SSD crashes, it can affect all the game files, so this is a big deal. I remember when it happened to me, I lost all of my progress, screenshots and a lot of other things which I''ve worked for during a long time. In order to restore everything back, I contacted DATA RECOVERY and they managed to restore all the files which were lost during that crash.
