Believe I can answer the question of "does it disable cleanly?".
No it doesn't,,,however, there is a walk around somewhere on this board.

As much praise I have for Battle of France initially, it did cause increases in freeze-ups and crashes for me.

Thanks for that Hellcat. Main interest here is in increasing the number of missions, so that the Alt+X CTD when it happens isn't really a show-stopper. So if anyone can confirm that those mission packs install over 2.13 without messing up anything, I'll be content with that and Save BoF for a second install, sometime.

If the mission pack installers (and perhaps BoF's, too) will allow installation into a 'fake' game folder, I suppose they could be safely enabled & disabled with JSGME after copying their files & folder structure into a MODS folder in BoB2. I'm just reluctant to install them over my 2.13 install as I don't want to have to clear it out and start afresh is something gets messed up.

Another thing to note about the Battle of France pack: it was built back when
the France side of the map was pretty rudimentary, so Calais was used as a
stand-in for Dunkerque. A few years later I did up the region from Calais to a
ways past the Belgian border in proper fashion, though no one has ever taken time
to populate it with buildings (that would be quite a lot of work, and except for
a project such as the Battle of France pack, it is pretty much outside the focus
of activity for BoB2, so I'm not too surprised by this).

Anyway, if you've got a v2.12 or 2.13 install, and you see the Dunkerque region
modelled in the terrain, you may be dismayed to find it isn't featured in the BoF pack.
I imagine updating the pack to use the new terrain would involve a major effort,
so I doubt it will ever be done.

Will it mess up anything? Well,,, as stated, except for a somewhat perceived increase in CTD it didn't for me.

But be aware, using the BoF installer will give you BoF on every BoB install you have on your HD or in my case drives. Two independent internal HD to be exact.
Obviously, to protect a backup BoB requires a manual BoF install and it wouldn't surprise me if it still found a way to worm in.

Love that BoF though,,,

ATM my hopes are pinned on my copy of Win 7 arriving in the next few days and the separate disk, Win 7/Win 10 dual boot setup working as intended. I'll be content for now to be able play without frequent CTDs (and they are frequent and often early, playing RAF campaign missions). The SSD I got for it is up and running, tho I had to Google and then do the disk management thing to get Win 10 to recognise it and allocate it a drive letter. Prefer to keep Win 7 on a separate drive rather than partition the Win 10 one. I might then reinstall BoB2 on the Win 7 SSD (it's currently on a conventional HDD salvaged from my old Vista box). I suppose if I did that, unplugged the Win 7 SSD then installed BoF, the latter's installer would leave my BoB2 2.13 install alone.

Does the Battle of France add any new planes, or is it still RAF -vs- Luftwaffe? Had a soft spot for the Armée de l'Aire's planes since building the old FROG 1/72 D.520 and MS.406 back in the day, with their exotic multi-hued camouflage. And more recently, I enjoyed flying some of them in the ETO expansion for CFS3:

I see that Wings over the Reich is to have a BoF expansion for 2019 which. along with a flyable Spitfire, is currently intended to be free for purchasers of the original release: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/t ... ost4448464

No new planes,,,at least on the RAF side,,,don't fly German.
Just spits and hurries with new skins,,, which I assume are historically accurate for BoF.

I installed this not realising it would change the bob.exe but the game seems to be running as before after I swapped to the most recent exe including the latest campaign updates from here https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewto ... t=campaign .

Thanks for the info. Having just got BoB+BDG 2.13 installed & thus far running fine on my new Win 7 SSD, I'll stick to that for now, tho I might try out BoF on my original BoB2 install.

Likewise, not going to go to 2.14 beta. I don't see anyone reporting it's fine in Win 10, which seems unlikely.
