Ya, SV shows again incredible situation awareness, as he even as a Luftwobble pilot points out good reading to us hapless Hurripilots
The author himself from some magazine

and one of my favorites in bed/toilet

Includes sgt. Ray Holmes' adventures with bingo ammo against that Dornier; but basically and chronologically from a Zeppelin's adventures to a Tornado adventure in Iraq.
Recommended.
And of course, I wont let myself into a 'farm'(even if SV was in my Hurri tail) before reading that Spitfire one.
And. PS. That H.P.Hastings is as ugly as it is gorgeous, have a look at it in Duxford if you have not seen it. I believe it still is there.

Just today grabbed a paperback copy of Leo Mckinstry's 'Spitfire, Portrait of a Legend' from Tesco of all places for the princely sum of £2. Worth keeping an eye out for if you're in the UK and find yourself in supermarket hell anytime soon.
