The Aussies are building spitfires in kit form!

All I need now are the skills to build it, the money to afford it and the pilots license to fly it. So, not much then
Can I have this on my christmas list?
Can I have this on my christmas list?
All I want is a pair of wings.
Re: Can I have this on my christmas list?
hi I was lucky enough to see one of these spits at the jamestown air show 18 months ago. They are 3/4 scale but you could not tell untill it was parked beetween a kittyhawk and a mustang.I'd only gone up to look at the kittyhawk the spit proved to be an added bonus.Looks verry good in the air.

Must be a real pain putting the decals on!
All they need now is a Bf109 kit and then the fun starts

According to the website the Mk26 is 80%, while the new model for this year, the Mk26B, is 90%.
I rather like the lines of the earlier models; I wonder why they chose that one - the wingtips are pointed, and the fin nearly so, in contrast to the beautiful lines of the MkI to IX.
Hmm, wandering further through the website, I find some more classic lines, not sure if the difference is between the 26 and 26B, or if individual planes can be fitted with either the regular or pointed (high altitude) wing... I see no one has chosen the fast-roll clipped wing though!

I've been searching google for the past hour and have found NOTHING on a 109 kit =(mudcake wrote:Must be a real pain putting the decals on!

My dreams of someday owning one have been crushed!
"You catch him right smack in the middle of your sights and give him a complete burst. The Brownings go to work, and, brother, when they are working they're not kidding! Eight guns, 1,400 rounds per minute. Figure it out for yourself.

Can't seem to find out much else about it.
Cheers!

Real or fake would be good. I'd have to find somewhere to park it though. Too big for the garage
"Ah yes, Michael (Parkinson)," Bader replied, "But these particular Fockers were Messerschmitts..."
