Buddye, I tested this briefly with the latest 2.09 exe and it works really well. Some of the plane LODs are very hard to see at certain ranges and the "single letter label" solves that while not being an immersion killer.

THANK YOU!!!!

There is also a setting entitled SLI Performance Mode which I have left set to the Global Single-GPU, which I am not too sure about. I wonder if the setting that "fixed" your issue was forcing vertical-sync (a/k/a V-sync) "ON"? Also, I have not had NVIDIA SLI cards for a couple ...

Like Bader says its very subjective so there is not "right or wrong answer". I have a large 16X9 aspect ratio widescreen monitor and these are mine. They may not be so good for a smaller 4X3 monitor. FOV_SMALL = 70.000000 FOV_MEDIUM = 95.000000 FOV_LARGE = 110.000000 FOV_TOGGLE_SMALL = 70....

I have not tried the mod but have an idea but before proceeding want feedback on if it might work. I have a .308 caliber M1A rifle (civilian version of M14) - keep it around the house for rodent control  . Would it be worth the effort to record the actual gunshot next time we are at the range ...

Very nice Reflected.

I used them all except the gunbrwn. I forgot who's I'm using but whatever it is I prefer it a tad more.

The engine sounds however are very very good. I especially like it at high power levels. No adverse effects with my buttkicker either.

Good job!

SeaVee, ...I had your old profile before, but until you mentioned it in this thread... I had no idea there was a precision hotkey , and I've had my TIR4 for nearly a year now  Impressive how much having the precision key enabled keeps my crosshair centered and how much better of a shot I am c...

I've been experiencing problems with TIR for some months now. Unfortunately, the layout of the bedroom I've been banished to means I have my back to a window and I suspect that sometimes that's the problem during daylight hours; must get some heavyweight curtains. However, even when I fly when it's...

I've been in a BoB2 (and all liesure PC gaming for that matter) hiatus due to work and family life obligations but recently had a chance to try the new AI (versions 49 throught the most recent 51). I must say the improvement across the board in the overall AI behavior, maneuver selection, fluidity a...

My new TIR4 Profile + download link

I tweaked my old TIR4 BoB2 profile a bit, basically flattening out the following axes alot more than originally: Roll (tilt left/right) X (move left/right) Y (move up/down) This one I think is smoother and more stable keeping the gunsight centered better than the original one in the Track IR thread ...

Thanks guys. We are still trying to think of a name for the little baby boy on the way. This basically boiled down to permanently working about 15%-20% harder (after the initital grueling transition phase) but in a much more rewarding place - both financially and otherwise or staying at a place wher...

OT: Where and why I've been away....

Hi folks, Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I am still alive and try to at least check in on the happenings of BoB2 a couple times a week. I write this because I do miss the community and the game and didn't want folks to think I had given up on it. Hope you all understand: A couple of months ago...

The 8800 series is an awesome card. One caveat on this or any other card you may consider: Make ABSOLUTELY sure that your PC has the required power supply specs for the video card. Also if the video card is PCI-E interface then the motherboard must also have that and not the older AGP card interface...

Consider a new graphics card and then maybe an additional 1GB of ram (2 GB ram total is more than enough). To upgrade the CPU would likely require an entire new motherboard. While in that case you might be able to use the same system ram you have, it would not make sense to use a state of the art CP...
