OAT Inaccurate ?
I have been flying with ActiveSky16 and noted that the B17 OAT shown in the temp gauge seems to be always 2 or 3 degrees higher than that reported by AS16. Anyone else seen this? I run AS16 together with the Icing gauge made by Charles Owen. Are these two compatible? Or should I remove the Icing gau...

Re: Is Radar Altimeter working?
About navigation, wonder how they did it in IMC back in those days, especially without DME ! Would love to navigate realistically.

Re: Is Radar Altimeter working?
That is strange ... would have to test again.
One more question ... the rudder is tied to steering like normal plane? I find it much easier turning with rudder peddals then turning the side wheel.

Re: Is Radar Altimeter working?
By the way, there isn't any DME readout. How does one shoot a VOR approach or conduct IFR flight without such?
Would like to do some IFR work with this one.

Re: Is Radar Altimeter working?
Thanks TreeTops. What I did previously was I set it to 4,000 ft, and remember flying at 10,000 + ft over some mountains. Height above mountains was just a 1000 or 2000 ft or so, but yet this AGL was not registered and shown on the gauge. I did switch on the unit. It did work correctly though when th...

Re: CO2 Fire Extinguisher
Thanks. So first click the cap cover opens with switch flipped to 1st, then closes. 2nd click repeats action but flips switch to 2nd. Do correct me if wrong. I thought real world should be open cover then flip inside switch to 1st and then 2nd, if need be. If the thing works like a toggle, should i ...

Is Radar Altimeter working?
Noticed the radar altimeter only function when below 4000 ft MSL. Above that, no matter how close to a mountain range top, it just would not show any AGL reading. Is that right?

Re: CO2 Fire Extinguisher
I tested on number 2 engine by flipping the gangway plate to switch all switches to fire, then mouse click on the CO2 switch. Problem is the mouse click resulted in the CO2 switch cover to open and close immediately. The cover did not stay open for me to select whether to fire 1st bottle or 2nd one....

CO2 Fire Extinguisher
So I finally bought the COTS and been practicing a little. Tried out the fire extinguisher but found that the switch's cover flips open and close upon clicking, all in one action. Shouldn't it let me open the cover, and then select fire 1 or 2 ? I didn't get to choose firing on bottles 1 or 2. Anyon...
