Re: Question re using SPAD and Saitek panels
Dead Thread Reply: In defense of A2A, they did change some things to make the aircraft work more realistically. If they limited themselves to the walls of the MSFS they would not have been able to do this. SAITEK, on the other hand has limited themselves to the walls of the MSFS. Both of these compa...

Re: Hydraulic Pressure Problem
I laughed out loud when I read this post. The first time I got into the P51 (it was my first accusim a/c) I tried to start it up. First I burned up the starter. I think I forgot to prime, or turn on the gas, or crack the throttle, I don't remember. So I went to the maintenance hanger and got a new s...

Re: Second Plane
Being a GA pilot I liked the history of the warbirds. I started with the B-17 and got bitten hard by the A2A bug. Next was the P51 which frustrated me to no end. The B17 was a great plane to fly. Easy and stable. The P51 was a wild stallion and it took me a lot of hours to "master" it. Whe...

Welcome. Great pics. I personally hold the DC3 and C47 in high regard. The DC3 or C47 are definitely accusim material! (Big hint )

Re: Nice Movie of FIFI Operating
Great vid. I noticed #3 was started first. The B17 starts #3 first also and then #4,#1, and #2. On FIFI #2 was started 2nd. I don't remember the start order on the 377, but I would guess #3 is first their also. Is there a reason #3 is started first on 4 engine aircraft? Tradition, auxillary equipme...

Re: Attention COTS Pilots - Post Your Captain's Logs Here
Ernest,
I am curious about your latest Captain's Log. Was this a no passenger/no cargo flight? I noticed there were no passenger comments in the log. Also, I am strictly an amateur by your standard and generally turn in $1 - $2 per mile numbers. Your sub-$1 per mile number is impressive.

The Beech Staggerwing would be totally cool. I have long admired and wanted to fly that aircraft.

Re: How can I improve my landings?
Here are some pages out of the United Airlines B377 Pilots Handbook Rev20 from February 1950 One of the pages gives weight vs flaps vs stall speed. Should be useful for determining stall speed per weight. About the last landing shown, (note I have not achieved the <100fpm landing yet but these would...

Re: Accusim Piper Cherokee
Being an ArcherII and Warrior2 pilot I am looking forward to the Cherokee. I think the Cessna is great and I hope to purchase it soon. But since I can relate in a real world way to the Cherokee I will be really thrilled about the Cherokee. A2A produces the best aircraft with no exception. I am curre...

Re: COTS Manual control of turbo without Acceleration
Wow am I happy. I read that caution also and wondered about it. I have not progressed far enough in my flying to give it a try. When I am that far I will be happy that a way was found to make it work in SP2 as I don't have acceleration. Good job A2A!
