Re: Minimum oil level
That’s what I thought. I was actually surprised at how low the minimum from the manual is.

Re: weak climb rate
That will certainly do it. Gear destroys the climb rate. Scott It’s very interesting to me that the gear has such a big effect on drag at the rather low speeds. I always thought it’s more a cruise speed inhibitor. It certainly makes you wonder why the heck we’re flying fix gear planes in the first ...

What a beauty! Thank you for sharing this with the community!
And if you look online at the pictures of the original before and after applying this paint what an amazing transformation!

Re: Gtn not showing
I was thinking the Xi would universally work in any Comanche version. It seems not in my install. Thanks for the reply. I'm not going to buy the Garmin again, so I'll make do with the GTN supplied. Cheers. I understand why you wouldn’t want to purchase the XI again. The PMS GTN750 has a freeware ve...

Re: Sytem Clock time in the PDA please!
But that wouldn’t help if you don’t fly real time.MadMac388th wrote: ↑20 Jul 2023, 20:55 Showing Zulu time on the plane clock, would solve the problem for those who fly in real time, and know how to use Zulu time.
I think the best option would be to display the system time on the tablet somewhere. Just my two cents.

Re: Gtn not showing
Well I think you need to get the addon for MSFS I don’t know that the P3D version is supported in MSFS.
The supported options from the aircraft side are PMS GTN 750 and TDS GTN 750Xi. But as I said you’ll need either one for MSFS.
I hope this helps.

Re: Gtn not showing
Hi,
What Garmin unit do you want to use? There is an option in the tablet of the plane to use no GPS, a GNS430 and 530 (MSFS default) and then there’s the option for a GTN750 but for that you need the 3rd party GTN750 options installed in MSFS.

Re: Minimum oil level
The Lycoming manual for the O-540A states minimum safe oil quantity in the sump is 2.75 US Quarts.
I would never operate the engine like this IRL. We have a C182T in real life operation and we never go below 7qts. The higher oil quantity will also help keep the oil cooler.

Re: Descent parameters ?
Well generally the most important thing with the air cooled engines is watching your cool down rate of the cylinders. What I usually do from cruise is pitch down to app. 500-700 ft/min decent rate and then slowly start reducing the manifold pressure to keep the speed out of the yellow arc. But you d...

Re: Is there a Paint Thread yet?
I've seen a few uploads here's my rendition of N7621P - needs a little work since I'm now getting some real world closeups thanks to Adam on discord. I hope to gather some real world interior pics as well so make some changes. MSFS seems to really be tricky with blues or darks in general...so many ...
