Isn't that the point of HDR and Dynamic Lighting though? The scene has total cloud cover, there is no direct sunlight. Hi Pat. Yes I am using P3D v5.3, with HDR and Dynamic lighting on. Envshade changes the whole nature of shade, contrast and reflected light in general. If you have any A2A products for the other sims you can still fly them. I fly my beloved Spitfire regularly in P3D v5.3. It may not be live streamed scenery but it's pretty damned good with ORBX, Envshade and Active Sky.

Over a year ago I had the exact same problem. I also had to disable and reduce loads of settings to make it stable. My system was brand new and top of the line at the time. Long story short. Looks like the software had memory management problems but I'd had enough after a while and had a RE-fund. Fi...

A full, clean RE-install is always the best way and no doubt, I will be doing that when v6 comes out. Until then it seems to be working fine ATM. Any strangeness and i will RE-asses the situation, obviously.
