Thanks! I should have been more specific, I'm looking for the olive drab version, the one that Nathan made. Is that one available anywhere?
thanks,
Greg

Sounds...
...are really one of the best part of accu sim aircrafts. Perhaps I'm saying this because I'm a musician, but I'm sure others appreciate the level of details just as much. All the switches, clicks, snaps, squeaks, the complexity of the engine sound, the wind, they are second to none. And tey make a ...

Re: Landing the B-17
I have a fairly successful method that I mastered after reading an official manual: 0 turbo, max prop pitch, throttle around 20%. Point your nose about 20 meters ahead of the end of the runway, and maintain 120 mph. If you need more throttle to keep aiming there, you were too low. If you accelerate ...

Shoo Shoo Baby repaint
Hi Folks,
Long time no see
I see that Nathan made a beautiful Shoo Shoo Baby repaint, but his site is not available. By any chance, do you know where I could download it?
Many thanks in advance!

Re: World War 1 OFF or ROF?
Well, I have a rather low-end PC and it runs just fine on medius settings. Do you really think that a maxed-out il2 will ever look like this? ;) http://i43.tinypic.com/2uq2a35.jpg I'm absolutely fascinated by this game, and WWI air combat at the moment. WWII air combat is plain uneventful/ slow comp...

Re: World War 1 OFF or ROF?
It's everywhere apart from airfields where there's no 3d grass. I guess it's because of the takeoffs and landings.philip.ed wrote:Very nice. Do most of the fields have moving grass?!

Re: World War 1 OFF or ROF?
Let me assure you, I can't fly any plane inverted for more than 2-3 seconds, and I'm not a beginner. Playing sims since around 1998, and I'm the 50th on the RoF leaderboards. This guy must be an UFO  FM in RoF is something you don't need to worry about. Everything is very well modeled. For exam...

Re: World War 1 OFF or ROF?
I have the box version. It came with a nice map ;) For those who complain about SP: there will be a superb quick mission generator in the next patch ,where you can set basically EVERYTHING! As for the campaign, there's a 3rd party app called RoF Campaign made by Patrick Wilson: http://www.wingsofhon...

Haha, I've even seen Ocean's twelve!
But we'll need Tim for this mission, he's the one who knows how to fly it

Re: World War 1 OFF or ROF?
As far as I know they'll drop it in the next patch which is due in a few days. You'll still need internet connection for career mode (the mission generator is on their server + they have to update your tally on the leaderboards) and for multiplayer (duh). They'll also implement a quick mission build...

Re: World War 1 OFF or ROF?
There was a BoB2 reunion on a RoF server yesterday. 602RAF_Puff and I climbed in to our SE's, took off and climbed in formation up to 6000 feet where we leveled out. We flew some 10 miles and crossed the lines. Just over the edge of Hunland I spotted 2 planes flying in formation 1500 feet below us a...

Re: World War 1 OFF or ROF?
Glad you like it PappyCain :) Yes it's very CPU demanding. a quad core is a must (I olny have a dual core too, but 4 G of RAM and a 1G Vcard) I hope you'll upgrade it to the full version soon and I'll see you in the virtual skies. ;) I have both FE, OFF2 and RoF, and RoF wins hands down. without a s...
