Re: Some tips on flying the P47
A funny thing you mention about that coffin corner. I put myself in there on takeoff ironically. I loaded up the 3 150 gallon tanks. Was a hot day, but I had plenty of runway. About 9000 feet. So I didn't think so much to the warning in the checklist to lower flaps for higher weights in the hotter t...

Re: P-47 Tail Wheel Lock/Unlock
Sometimes with Accu-sim a lot of the stuff is done outside of FSX so the hotkeys won't work with some of the funtions. Is why they have the utility to assign stuff to the joystick axis. I would just use switch on the floor to the right of the pilots seat. Is what I use. Hopefully this helps.

Re: Landing the B377
The Strat does take a lot of management in the cockpit to keep it going, but it is worthwhile. The MD-11 is certaintly the polar opposite of the 377 seeing as almost everything is fully automated. I can go grab a drink and it can handle most emergencies without me. The 377 however definately takes a...

Re: Accusim Question about high Carb Temps
I've noticed this too. Starting the engine in FL my carb temp is always on the edge at the high end of the green with the intercooler all the way open. I think the reason the air going in doesn't cool the carb temp is because since this is a turbo supercharged engine. As you compress the air it heat...

Re: A2A Wings Of Silver Tupolev Tu-114 for FSX?
I think this would be a great addition to FSX. Have been asking for a Tu-95 for a long time, but the Tu-114 would be a great substitute if that would make it more appealing to a developer as far as sales appeal. In talking with a few of them they say the rarer aircraft never make back the money that...

Re: Cecil Field Airshow 09 Photos
Thanks for the info. It wasn't the factory airline interior. It had almost what reminded me of a commercial jet seating, with a modern stereo and entertainment system in the ceiling. Was not what I expected when I walked up to it. You're welcome for the pictures Chief. I've been stationed on NS Mayp...

Re: Aircraft Factory F4U Corsair Released
I agree. Accu-sim has definately raised the bar of flight simulation. I eagerly await the release of Accu-sim for the Corsair, and the full release of the P-51. The model and textures of the Corsair are a beauty, and she doesn't eat up my frame rates. So thank you guys for continuing to produce qual...

Finally the Collings foundation Vought F4U Corsair and a Legacy F/A-18 Hornet for the legacy flight of the airshow and one of the F4U taxiing afterwards. http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u359/Roadburner426/Picture016.jpg http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u359/Roadburner426/Picture020.jpg http://i...

Cecil Field Airshow 09 Photos
Just got home from the Cecil airshow today. More GA planes than anything but did see a bunch of Cub's, a few P-51's, and the Collings Foundation F4U Corsair. Unfortunately I did not get to see the Corsair up close since it was part of the flight display and they had it sectioned off from the rest of...

Re: A2A Simulations Update 22/03/09
I agree on the P-38. I bought P-38 models from 2 seperate developers and the best one is Aeroplane Heaven's. There is no consequence to pushing the throttles to the firewall and flying with the RPM at redline for 7 hours straight. I am just happy they are doing the Corsair, and the P-51. Ever since ...

Field Assembly of P-47
Was bored and looking around at stuff on you tube when I ran across these videos. Is about 40 minutes worth of stuff. I couldn't imagine doing half the stuff they did. Hats off to these guys. The narrator calls it an easy assembly, but if I had to cut up a crate and dig holes to assemble an aircraft...

Re: The Corsair, she is a coming!
Thanks for bringing it into FSX. At least there is a glimmer of hope of having accu-sim. Definately must be busy on your end cause all I knew about was the J-3 and P-51. The F4U and Forcke Wulf were a nice suprise. I personally would get it with or without, but ever since Accu-sim was created it has...

Re: A2A Simulations Update 22/03/09
I would hope it's Accu-simmed. That is pretty much the staple of A2A. I am glad to see an F4U being modeled for FSX. That is the aircraft my flight sim career started on when I got it for free with FS2000. Definately looks a million times better than the MS model did, and I look forward to adding he...

Re: Repaint WIP and a question about file size.
B-17 is a great bird, they made that a long time ago. Sadly I've neglected all my older A2A aircraft cause it isn't the same not having Accu-sim to punish me. Is why I am excited about the WoP 3 P-51 cause that was the reason I bought their wings of power CD box at Gamestop a long time ago was for t...
