Re: Honeycomb Alpha Yoke Trim Button Problem
I found this on youtube when I first got my Honeycomb yoke : https://youtu.be/_J7QuQusncE In the end, I kept that zoom function because its useful for me, and I used FSUIPC to program everything else because I was familiar with FSUIPC. That said, if I had given myself more time, the process shown in...

Re: Can't get off the ground no matter what
I launched the FSX on Steam Edition, aircraft selected was A2A B377, and clicked on the box says “Fly Now!”. This caught my eye from one of Andrewhb17 posts which could be, or could not be part of the problem: Starting the sim using a complex, add-on aircraft instead of a default FSX aircraft can l...

Did you run the latest update after you installed the 377? I don’t see that mentioned anywhere…although you may have and I simply missed it.

Trev is a great person to help you sort this out - he probably has the most hours in the 377 of anyone on the forum!
Something you may want to check if you are using hardware controls, is to ensure one of them isn’t linked to both the trim wheel and another unrelated function.

Re: Recommendations
In the interest of variety and adding to your overall experience, you might add one of the high wing Cessnas to your hangar. Just to add to the chorus…the T6 is a lot of fun and quite challenging in its ground handling characteristics. You won’t go wrong no matter what you choose.

Re: Strange Things whilst on GROUND with the T-6
Sometimes developers leave some “eye candy” out as a necessity to bring in another feature or features that is (are) more important to the project as a whole.
The backfire flame would be cool, but since I try to avoid doing that, I don’t really miss it!

Re: How perform a re-start if your engine stopped on the ground
The Texan floods very easily if you prime too much. If the engine stops on the ground, you might make sure you didn’t accidentally put the fuel selector “off”. When you attempt a restart, try without priming first. Then prime very conservatively thereafter. If all else fails, turn everything off and...

Re: Strange Things whilst on GROUND with the T-6
When you select the plane as “empty” in the 2D panel, the battery option is unavailable (in my install) but, yes, it does move backwards a bit when first selecting the jacks! If you are looking at the Texan from the nose, then ,yes, the controls for tail left and right appear opposite. I think the a...

Re: convenience AP/afk mode?
I think the Constellation and maybe the Stratocruiser have an AFK option in the 2D panels…but I’m not certain about the rest of the fleet. -Edit: I refreshed my memory on this…the AFK would pause the simulation if an issue developed with the aircraft or a passenger, so you could afford to step away ...

You’ve got to do what feels right, Greg. But sometimes what feels right changes…and thats okay, too.
