Yes! I'll do some tests and report here.

Thanks, Lewis!
What about turbulence? Could they cause structural damage?

Re: still confusing: ASCA full dynamic vs global
Thanks for your replies, guys! Yeah, you're confirming my thoughts on how it's working. But I'm still wondering why there's not a mode where "multiple cloud textures can be assigned and visible at a single time" (Full Dynamic) plus at the same time have the full possible variations like in...

Anybody else reporting damage directly because of high g-loads (rough flying, rough weather)?

still confusing: ASCA full dynamic vs global
Hey guys, just finished some ten hours in my brand new Skylane cruising along southwestern Europe. But I wonder if the clouds shouldn't show more variations with AS16 and ASCA (FSX) in global mode. I found this one: https://hifisimtech.com/forums/showthread.php?8088-Clarification-of-Full-Dynamic-vs-...

simlation of overstress
Hey guys, I wonder if structural overstress is simulated within the A2A GA aircrafts. As far as I know with the B17 or the Mustang e.g. flaps are damaged when you put to much load on it. With the GA aircraft walkaround you could find damage to the rudder, elevators, ailerons and flaps. Here damage i...

Re: taxi/run up/take off temperatures
40°C = 104°F = beginning of the green arc in the Skylane.

Thanks for sharing your experience!
I have the heater installed but often I do my flights more or less short-termed (not unplanned ).

taxi/run up/take off temperatures
Hey guys, in most cases I let the engine warm up quite a long time. But in some rare situations I don't have the time to wait that long (you know: simming time vs. RL). I never do a run up or even a T/O when oil temp and CHT aren't in the green arc but sometime it just hits the lower beginning of it...

Cool!
So if I want to do a complete oil change I could empty and refill the oil via Shift-4?

Re: fuel tank management between flights
Are the circumstances mentioned by you are taken into account by the A2A simulation or is it just a matter of loaded fuel, time between flights and some randomness?

does adding oil mix the oil in the oil tank
Hey guys,
my Skylane has just 7 hours on the tach. So it's quite a bit before adding some oil.
My question is: If I add oil via the payload menu (shift-4) does that mix the old and the fresh oil?
Thanks in advance,
Zacke

fuel tank management between flights
Hey guys, did my first 7 hours with the Skylane yesterday and have burned the fuel down to about 10 gallons per tank. You know it's advised to keep the fuel tanks full (if possible) between flights to avoid condensation. Well, I don't know much about my next flight yet and full tanks could be contra...
