Re: @ RAF fan modellers
It seems a bit odd that it is in 1:76 scale when most aircraft are in 1:72 scale (or larger). I wonder what Airfix were thinking when they came out with this one?

Re: ROF US release set for June 8th by 777
Looking at the picture Buddye posted it appears to me like they used 1930-40 era railway engines instead of 1914-18 era ones.

IIRC the red clouds only appear if you have selected inclement weather and the cloud is between you and the sun.

Re: AC back online I can confirm.
He told me that he was sick for a long while but when I talked to him he seemed in good spirits. I didn't recognize his voice at first on the telephone but shortly it clicked and I knew that it was him.He wants to help Scott out too with a project. That's great news on AC, I hope he continues to do...

Re: Light Commands
[Vcockpit01] of corse. Just checking  . In theory the lights should work but as I don't have that aircraft in my hangar I can't check it for you here. Do the taxi lights have a single switch in the VC or are there two switches for taxi left and taxi right? It could be that Wilco coded the lig...

Re: Light Commands
Hello, my "old" command dosen't work. When I'm adding "old" (for example landing_light_old) no light appear :( Look in your 'FSX\Effects' folder (or 'FS9\Effects' if you are using that sim) for all the Shockwave lighting effects which are prefixed with 'fx_shockwave_XXX' and mak...

Re: Texture problems.
If you have the latest FSX update it's in the common 'texture' folder (actually it's a DDS file rather than a BMP file now) along with all the other common files. If you want to paint the tanks for a particular aircraft you will need to save the tank texture to the specific repaint folder rather tha...

Re: The Breitling Fighter repaint...
I have almost finished the Breitling P-51, but "P-51D_t" DDS file won't show up on FSX when I load the plane. This is just plain annoying as I have battled with editing for around an hour now and am still lost as to what to do. Have you ever encountered this problem? There is no "P-5...

Re: Repaint Suggestion
The only problem with doing RN/FAA repaints is the correct model is not available. The RN/FAA used a clipped wing version of the Corsair as the height between decks was lower on RN carriers than the US ones and they couldn't fold the wings of a stock Corsair as the wings hit the underside of the upp...

The Catalina already has the lights included from the factory, they just need to be activated. See this thread for details.

Re: Yellow nav light
This is going on the new FSX AlphaSim HU-16B, which left off even the white tail light plus the yellow light. Be careful when it comes to the tail light. If it is on the moving part of the rudder/elevator then the light WILL NOT move when the rudder/elevator does. Lights set up within the [Lights] ...

Re: installation question
By way of explanation, some time ago I transferred FS9 from C to E drive, which may have something to do with this. Not sure. This could be the reason as your Windows registry is still pointing to a location which no longer exists. Try going to the site linked below and download and run the 'FSX/FS...

Re: Yellow nav light
The correct command should be..... 'fx_shockwave_navyellow' ...and NOT 'fx_Shockwave_navyel'. If you look in your 'FSX\Effects folder' you will see all the available Shockwave lights prefixed by 'fx_shockwave_' and with the suffix '.fx'. To ensure you have the correct syntax when adding lines to you...
