Re: We've lost contact with flightsimstore.com

In light of what's been said, I think I'd better go through my account at FSS and make sure I have local back-ups. All my Orbx scenery orders have been transferred to Orbx's own outlet, but I bought some aircraft and utilities too. It's a shame this has happened because I always liked FSS for their ...

Re: flightsimstore.com is MIA

There is a message at the top of their store page that says:-

" Please Note: Most files have now been transferred to our new servers. Some files may still be inaccessible, so please let us know via our Facebook page. "

Could this have any bearing on the problem?

Wonderful pictures, Kurt - almost a history of the Spitfire's development in those images. Good to see the Hurricanes were not neglected. Thanks for posting, and well done! :)

A very good promo video, and the model looks absolutely first class. Good luck with the sales, though I doubt you'll need it. :)

Re: Farewell Sqn Ldr Geoffrey Wellum

Very sad news indeed. He did a program with Claire Balding on BBC Radio 4, in which she accompanied him on one of his favourite walks near his home in Cornwall, and she taped the conversation they had. It was fascinating to hear him speak of the things he'd written about in 'First Light'. https://i....

Alan Bean - astronaut and artist

Alan Bean, Apollo 12 lunar astronaut and accomplished artist, has died. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-44268960 I'm currently reading 'How Apollo flew to the Moon' by W.David Woods, which includes an account of how a lightning strike could have ended Apollo 12's mission before it had a ch...

Re: Avro anson RAF 100 repaint

That paint scheme is being applied to a Mk.19, G-AHKX. It's a very different aircraft from the Mk.1 Anson, as sold under the Aircraft Factory label.

Re: The Americans buried on a Scottish island.

Thanks both :) . I've just finished reading Castles of Steel by the American historian Robert K. Massie; a hefty account of the First World War at sea between Britain and Germany. As well as the great surface battles - Coronel, Falkland Islands, Dogger Bank, Jutland etc - it deals with the unrestric...

Might join you this week, as it's been a while since I took part. I don't have the T-6, so I'll look up something of comparable performance.

Thank you Patful, thank you Lewis. 200 reads and only 2 responses. I should have included a picture of an aircraft so we could go off-topic.

Re: Froogle and FSW

Thinking further about DTG taking legal action, LM are probably beyond reproach because users have to indicate they agree to license's terms and conditions ( notice how I'm desperately trying not to use that four-letter initialism beginning with E ). LM did all they realistically could at their end,...
