Re: Connie Heating Issue
No worries, There were also no engine sounds, Did you have any crew voices at all? I suspect they might be related. But the main thing I want to know, and don't get me wrong here I might have completely misundestood, is what was meant by "the crew will help you with the descent and picking a su...

Re: Connie Heating Issue
There were no statements from the Crew? The Stewardess didn't mention it "getting cold back here"?
Did you have any passengers loaded?
Did you have the career mode enabled?

Re: Connie and SODE VDGS
Hi, I think you'll have some trouble with this post, probably because many of us don't know what SODE VDGS is. For those reading this, SODE is an acronym for "SimObject Display Engine." It's major application (correct me if I'm wrong here) is to enable custom control for jet bridges. VDGS ...

Re: Can't keep this plane in the air!
I've had my default plane be my Carenado 182RG for years with no issues. It's hard to take the leap I need to make the red trike at Friday Harbour the default flight, just to make my controls lock work properly, and I'm not deny my total respect for everyone's expertise on this forum! There HAS to ...

Re: Throttle doesn't work for B377 Saitek throttle quadrant
I don't have terribly much to add to this thread, only to advise OP that I've been using the combination Saitek Quadrant + A2A B377 (regular and COTS) + FSX:Acceleration for years, with no problems. Using each lever individually for 4x throttle, Master Propeller Control, and 4x mixture. So what you'...

Re: C-182 "Riding the wave" and autopilot tracking issue
I also notice you have an absolutely enormous density of trees... even compared to my FSX which is on (what I consider) a capable machine. Perhaps, at least for your tests... try aggressively rolling back your graphic settings to target something like 40+ FPS. You can very easily save your current s...

Re: C-182 "Riding the wave" and autopilot tracking issue
I don't own the 182 (I have the 172). Only thing I can add is that in your first video... immediately before each airspeed increase, I observe the cockpit throttle snapping to idle for an instant, then returning back to the previous position. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkQVDWjtLAk @00:47 @01:01...

Re: Learning to fly the Connie
Hi Pat, Looks like you found the problem with the BNO VOR in P4D. You perform the same steps in P5D and it works. That means your procedure was not the problem. This isn't a new problem. You have seen this problem before and we have tried to discuss in previously. I suspect your custom LKTB scenery ...

Re: L-049 question to A2A
You're certainly welcome.
Take note of the two white dots on the fuel instruments. They have a special significance in relation to this question, and can make connie fuel management very easy.

Re: Pushback turns
If you're looking for realism, the Constellation was designed before the pushback procedure became commonplace. When you load the Connie you should position it so that it can depart the terminal by making a turn or going straight out, no pushback needed. They were pushed around by maintenance of cou...

Re: C182 magnetos check
"Loaded mags." Excess carbon deposits have accumulated on the spark plug electrodes. That's interesting, I almost always get loaded mags in the Bonanza (I don't own the 182).... yet you report no problems. The solution is you need to get the combustion in the cylinders hot enough, with eno...

Re: Learning to fly the Connie
I think it is more difficult turning right and overfly the airport to go heading 064 and climbing to 2500 ALT and then turn left at 11.1 to intercept ILS. I agree, this will be much more difficult. It's also not correct as you have written it, which means when you try it you will be badly off cours...
