Cabin Vent Functionality. Do They Do Anything?

I'm noticing no effect from the cabin vents. It can be -10C outside and I can barely keep the cabin comfortable. However, on descent I forgot to push the levers in and it got cookin' inside so I gave the cabin some fresh air with the vents. It did not cool the cabin down. I tried all the vents and c...

Re: Annoying stream sound since V1.4

Fixed internally, so long as its tested working will be fixed and released in next update. thanks, Lewis Many thanks Lewis! I'm now very much looking forward to this update as well. The hissing noise seems to be getting louder with each flight. I never noticed prior to Tom creating this post, thank...

Re: First in fight emergency in MSFS

Lol, I know that feeling Lewis. One of my smoothest landings in the B-17 was at ID19 after two go-a-rounds and I forgot my gear the last time. It was such a horrible feeling. We should start a "Comanche Follies" thread for stories like these. They're fun to read and even more fun to share ...

Re: First in fight emergency in MSFS

Really glad to you made it to an airfield. I know exactly what you are saying about "keeping you on your toes" but along with that is the stress level that it can take you to. I got myself in a pickle today trying to cross the mountains from Boise, ID to Bozeman, MT. I was above the clouds...

Re: GNS530 + Narco COM2/NAV2 Ident Issues

Hello Nick, Thank you so much for the reply. My problem however is not being able to hear the Ident audio, or activate the Ident audio for NAV2. When running the GPS-530 for COM1 & NAV1 radios and the Narco radios for COM2 & NAV2 I was confused with just how to create commands. In this confi...

GNS530 + Narco COM2/NAV2 Ident Issues

I'm still learning the Comanche for MSFS. I most often fly VOR flight plans. I've been running the 530/430 GPS option which gives me NAV1 and NAV2 radios but with no DME on NAV2. I then tried the 530 / Narco radio and attempted to assign buttons and keys to operate the radios. I find that in this co...

Re: Brakes

I'm still working on getting some hours in this wonderful aircraft. I have noticed issues with my brakes as well. During taxiing if I touch an individual brake it seems to stick there until I cycle it again, apply the other brake or apply both. The issue seems to clear up as time progresses. I assum...

Re: Refund on Commanche

My experience in the Comanche is much the same. A smooth landing is the most challenging stage of the flight. I make my long approach at 115 to 120 IAS. Gear down under 120. Start incrementally introducing flaps until full and fly the approach at 100 IAS. Up to this point I am adding elevator trim a...

Re: Vibration noise coming from the right in cabin

Door not just closed but latched as well? Is the right window open and vibrating? Do the flaps have any excessive play on the right side? How about the ailerons? Nothing showing in maintenance I'm assuming?

Interesting issue you have here.

Cheers

Re: Is this a joke?

,...It might be better to move the jokes, perhaps to a new off-topic section. Please remember the Pilots lounge is the general off topic section for all things of all things which is why its so varied. In the past few decades I think its hard to find topics that havnt been talked about so long as t...

Re: B-17 2020

Hello, the chances of that being the second aircraft are slim to none. thanks, Lewis Lewis, your response gives me great encouragement. Not the first but in the lineup is what I heard 8) . I'd love to fly the B-17, the Connie, the 377 and the P-51 in MSFS. I hope they are all in the lineup at some ...

Re: Windows 10 and A2A?

Another test would be to rebuild the file < fsx.cfg > located in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX. With sim NOT running rename file to fsx.cfg.bak and start sim. Sim will build a new config file. Your personal saved flight, sound and graphic settings will revert back to factory. If ...
