I found the files that are probably missing. They should be in your effect texture folded (x_1.bmp and fx_smoke.bmp). If they are not there you need to replace them. Should be on the FSX install disks. I think Disc 2. If you can't find them I can email them to you.

You are missing an effect file probably because of an uninstall of some aircraft. I wish I could remember which effect file it is as I could email it to you. Pretty slim pickens out there. The G940 was one of the better ones in my opinion. I heard that Logitech doesn't make it anymore. I have seen some for sale brand new but the price was high. To answer your question about the P51. I have almost all of the A2A aircraft including the P51 and it works great in all of them. Just create a profile to your liking or use the default profiles that come with the software.
