Re: How do you map the GTN 750 pop-up window to a joysk butt

I just moved my windows around a bit as follows: I don't use the "free Radios" window, <shift>6 or the "map" <shift>5 so I just swapped the windows out. I put the text from the GTN windows 750 and 650 (I use both for pop ups) into window04 and window05 for GTN pop ups, and moved ...

Re: FSX Crash To Desktop With RXP GPS

Check the "Trainer Path" is correct in the RXP.ini file. That's the biggest cause of CTD's with the RXP.

Re: C172 Landing Problem

Quite surprised none has answered this. What you describe is pretty normal, but maybe not quite fine tuned yet. A LOT of what you're experiencing is lack of experience in THIS particular model (meaning, every FSX addon model has it's quirks compared to others). It will get better as you, yourself, g...

Re: saitek trim set up help!!

Hi,make sure that if you are using FSUIPC that you disable the controls from your FSX. Hi Sonzama, This is the way to go. Don't assign the trim wheel through FSX at all, also don't use the A2A config tool to assign the trim wheel, it will conflict with FSUIPC calibration. Instead, just open up FSUI...

Re: Autopilot help

In my experience the ALT mode does not start to get even close to functional below FPS 17 or so. At 10 it didn't work in any of the versions. But even at 25 it does not behave very well. It kind of works, but it can take upwards of a minute to stabilize. The swings are not quite as wild as in lower...

Re: Autopilot help

From memory, if the auto pilot says "ALT" and "ALT ARM" then that is wrong. You have to press the ALT button again. It SHOULD read VS at the top, with ALT ARM underneath. For instance: Set your Altitude to 4000ft, press "ALT ARM" it should then read VS with ALT ARM. The...

Re: Saitek Multipanel Altitude Selection

It's possible to program a profile in Spad, but I can't tell you how. I too have the same "problem", but I don't think the problem is A2A's or the C172 per say. Maybe someone with more of an understanding of how Spad works can come up with a profile, I don't know. For now I just make the a...

Re: About PM messages to me

Well I fully understand how difficult that must be. I browse so many forums, and at times, just can't fit them all in. And THAT'S just reading them. I very rarely answer posts, or start topics on most forums for the reasons you already state. Life just keeps getting in the way darn it :)

Re: Very Disappointed

As an alternative option, you could try the "Reload Aircraft" command in FSX. If I notice a weird problem that doesn't normally exist, I just hit my <shift>R keys. This is bound to the command I mentioned. Sometimes FSX doesn't load complex aircraft properly because it's loading all the sc...

Re: Glideslope porpoising...

Oh right, that makes sense I guess. I know you wasn't trying to give me a hard time. I just don't have the knowledge an real world pilot would have. Plus the fact I NEED to plan my approach because it's not instinct, and I need plenty of time to work out what I'm going to do. One of my flying buddie...

Re: Glideslope porpoising...

Well as I said, I'm not a pilot, and as such, what you just said is counter intuitive. It also doesn't make any sense with regards to a Cessna C172. You're talking about approach speeds that are close to cruise speeds 100kts? How you supposed to slow it down? Totally confused now.

Re: Glideslope porpoising...

I've been searching for past posts on this particular subject, and now I've been following this recent thread. Although I haven't had a chance to test this theory (been too busy in with other matters), I'd like to run something by you guys. I'm NOT accusing ANYONE of being a bad pilot, or not knowin...

Re: Saitek TRIM and Throttle not longer working

I personally didn't need to, but it's worth a shot in your case I think. You have nothing to lose, and it's reversible.
