No, I'm talking about the sccop that runs along under fuselage till about behind the wing.
Sorry, I don't know how to post screenshots here in the forums.

Jacques, thanks for your reply.
Do you know what the scoop behind the coolers that runs along the fuselage is good for?

Does precipitation influence brake efficiency in sim?
Hey guys, today I did a T/D on a quite short grass runway with the Spit (EDLX, about 2400 ft.) and overshot the runway. I did safe landings on much shorter runways. Wind was calm but it was raining. So the question is: Does the brake efficiency in FSX:SE/A2A Spitfire change depending on precipition ...

Re: De Havilland 2-speed prop - how does it work technically?
Thanks again Daryll!
Now it's also more clear to me why to start and stop the engine with coarse pitch.
So if you lose youre engine/oil pressure the prop will go into coarse pitch?

Zacke

De Havilland 2-speed prop - how does it work technically?
Hey guys,
is the pitch of the DH 2S prop changed by oil pressure (like most constant speed props) or is it done through a other mechanical force or linkage? As far as I remember the pitch only can be changed while the engine's running.
Thanks in advance,
Zacke

fluctuating total weight
Hey guys,
in the shift-4 menu the total weight is slightly fluctuating while sitting on the ramp (maybe in the air too - didn't check that yet). If I remember right that's true with all of the warbirds.
Any idea what's going on there?
Thanks in advance,
Zacke

Re: Coolant and oil temps
From the "erection and maintance" manual of the N-modell: "A thermostatically controlled rotary type oil temperature control valve mounted on top of the oil cooler controls the flow of oil from the engine through the oil cooler. In operation, the helix bimetal thermostat rotates the r...

Re: Coolant and oil temps
Hey guys,
is the oil cooler really controlled with the cooling flaps or do the these flaps only cool the coolant? I wonder what the scoop under the fuselage behind the oil cooler is good for? It seems it bypasses the cooling flap system.
Thanks in advance,

Re: update server slow
Even today: No matter which aircraft to update the server(s) are extreme slow. At first I've got a jump to 8 to 12 mb downloaded than fast slowing down to 5 to 30 KB/s and fluctuating.

update server slow
Hey guys,
needed some reinstallations and found the update process via the FSX-updater (02-04-2019) very slow: somewhere around 5 to 20 KB/sec. It happened at friday, sunday and today (monday). Any known issues with the servers? My internet connection is ok.

CHT an issue?
Hey guys, since there's no CHT gauge in the Cherokee's cockpit I'm a bit anxious about running her to hot or not being aware of engine problems. Maybe I'm to much "in" the more complex A2A birds :). Question: Is the Cherokee's engine prone to high (or low) CHT or is this a no-brainer? Than...

simulation depth/flight models: Cherokee/Skyhawk vs. Comanche/Skylane
Hey guys, I'm a long term customer and addict with A2A/Accusim. I've flown all the accusimmed birds over the last decade. For some time I realize that I have a need to calm down a little bit with the sometimes overwhelming flightsim hobby/addiction. The last months I only flew the accusimmed warbird...

external factors for the cabin temperatur
Hey guys, I'm wondering which external factors influence the cabin temp of the cub. In the manual you can read that sitting on tarmac or flying over oceans will affect the cabin temp. I've seen also when sitting on tarmac and switching between seasons (keeping same weather via AS16) the cabin temp w...

Re: oil consumption working ?
Ok, tested that one: Saving a flight with the Cub creates besides the known dat-file an additional pj3 file in the fsx documents folder. Reloading that flight gives back all parameters: engine hours, oil level, fuel level, radio bat level, frequencies, payload incl. passenger, tie down, control lock...
