Re: windows10 update

I have had nothing but headaches from the Fall Creators Update so far, including FSX issues. I also suggest not upgrading if you can avoid it, and put it off until fixes come out.

Re: Does FSX:SE come with updated db for airports/airspace

All of the scenery and navigation data is the same as boxed FSX. If you're interested in updated approach data, navaids, airspaces, airport names/codes/comms etc, I highly recommend FSAeroData. https://www.fsaerodata.com/ It takes current Navigraph data (you need a subscription to that service as we...

Now that's cool :) The functionality that has been added to GSX over the years is awesome.

Re: startup bug in new update

If you install the update for 4.1 but don't have 4.1 installed, that's what happens. the update looks to see if you have 4.1, and if you don't, it shouldn't update anything. OK. I don't have P3D v4 installed at the moment so I haven't tested it, I just thought I saw several posts here suggesting th...

Re: STEC-30 Alt Hold - out of synch with trim.

Hmm, that's strange... after you have trimmed out the alt hold, what happens when you disconnect the AP? Does it still hold level flight?

You're good to go, the A2A GA lineup includes Accusim, and there is no "Add-ons" entry for it.

Re: HDMI cable to do some GPU work?

Actually Linus and team did test the input lag and found it added none (at least none their input lag tester could pick up.) *I'm not defending this product, it's just stuff that was stated in the video. I personally don't like video processors either. I would rather just put the extra $150 into a n...

Re: HDMI cable to do some GPU work?

It does have a small inline video processor. Really it should be called that, and not an HDMI cable.

Re: Engine Sound

Sometimes looped sounds (like engines) can get bugged in FSX and P3D, where they play at a lower than normal pitch. Usually you can get around this with two presses of the 'Q' key (which turns sound off and then back on.)

Re: How to upload / attach a video?

Your best bet is to upload it to Youtube. Once you have the URL (ie youtube.com/watch?v=jsdfgdufg) you can put that in [youtube] tags to make it appear in your post.
