Are you clicking on the picture of oil and plugs? Or the grey boxes ABOVE the pictures?
When I tried, it took me a while to work out it’s the grey boxes I needed to click on.

Re: Panels.dll crash with P3D V5
Thanks Nick, sorry for being such a PITA, but my experience so far with P3Dv5 hasn’t exactly been a good one. Getting back into this flight swimming lark has been quite hard, and damn expensive so far. And I STILL need a new Yoke

Re: This aircraft has not been inspected
Nope, not just you. Mine says the same, but I always assumed we, as pilots, were expected to “tell” him to inspect the aircraft.
Is it not supposed to be that way then? It makes no difference to me, I break mine all the time anyway

Re: External Lighting
I take it you are using the “Dynamic lights” in the A2A configurator for that plane? I am not using those lights, and I don’t have that same glow on the ground. I do if I use them though. So I chose not to use them. It looks a lot better. My guess is that there is a setting in P3Dv5 that shouldn’t b...

Re: Panels.dll crash with P3D V5
For what it’s worth, as I wasn’t actually testing anything, I initially renamed the windshield.dll when I first installed the updated P3Dv5 model. Ran for a few hours with no problems. After checking the forums, and Nick saying it wasn’t needed to delete/rename this .dll file, I restored it to the o...

Re: [Updated 6 May: first batch of P3Dv5 installers ready] Prepar3D v5 and A2A Simulations
Is it still needed to delete/replace the Windshield.dll? No, the new installers for P3Dv5 include a version of the Windshield.dll which uses the DirectX 12 API, so it'll work with v5. Thanks, Nick Thanks for clearing this up, I just renamed mine to be on the safe side. I’ll change it tomorrow and c...

Re: New aircraft - P-40 or P-51?
Out of those two, I'm a +1 for the P-51. I personally prefer the Spitfire, but as you've said the P-51 or P-40, I'd say P-51. I don't actually fly the P-40 these days, been spoiled by the C182. If I wanna hoon it around, it's either the Spitfire or P-51 though.

Re: Mapping switches to levers - C182
This is probably already configurable using FSUIPC or LINDA, but I personally don't know enough to tell you how. It will have something to do LVars etc. I'm sure there are people on here that can tell you how to do it. After all, many people are making their own SimPits, with proper switches and Kob...

Re: TrackIR, i got it, need some profiling help
That's why I say set a button up to centre TrackIR. What I do personally if I need a slightly different view, is "look up" with TrackIR, then while looking up, press my button to centre TrackIR, then when I'm looking straight ahead, the view is tilted down a bit on the gauges. Another meth...

Re: TrackIR, i got it, need some profiling help
I take it your green dots are in the correct place when you select camera mode in the TrackIR software? If not, adjust your "camera" on top of your monitor until they are pretty much in the centre. Don't know why you'd choose to use large dead zones, all you really need is to deaden the ce...

Re: Soaring screenshots and discussion
Just done a couple of days of testing Ridge Lift using ASN on its own, no CumulusX. I can confirm that both my friend and I were getting Ridge Lift. Wind speeds were low, about 8-9 knots, so lift wasn't THAT great to be honest. It was adequate, but not a huge lift. This was tested in the Czech Repub...

Re: Soaring screenshots and discussion
I can't, at this point, confirm ridge lift, because I haven't tested for that yet. I changed a few settings in ASN, because the default thermal up draft was set to to 500fpm. I think I set my lift and down draft to 1000fpm. That doesn't mean you automatically GET 1000fpm if the thermal isn't that st...

Re: Soaring screenshots and discussion
I'm no longer using CumulusX, I just use ASN on its own. Seems great on its own to me. My friend and I did 4.1hrs yesterday in Oz and travelled 306nm north starting from YCUN. It was a great flight, and very enjoyable. The scenery out there wasn't the "best", but we were just testing ASN a...

Re: Pilot unconscious
I'd say the pilot was worse than unconscious, I'd guess at DEAD. You killed him by flying too high without oxygen. Anything above 14,000ft (I believe) causes hypoxia in the C182. As for Oxygen, at the moment you can't get any for the 182. If you'd care to donate loads of money to Scott and A2A, I'm ...

Re: Never before caught on film..........
Oh yeah, FAT tyres. You got me with that first Red shot, and then I saw the BIG picture in the hanger. I want one now. Could've done with those tyres this past weekend. The Tundra Cub was the ONLY Cub I flew in FSX, never bothered much with the normal Cub. As this C182 is my plane of choice right no...
