Re: I don't believe my luck
Yeah the P-47 is a beast to land. Out of all my Accu-sim craft that is the one that still gives me the most trouble. I have learned over time to come in high and hot, and to decend early. Then just gradually pull the nose up to bleed off airspeed, lower the flaps, and put her down. Never tried the s...

Re: I don't believe my luck
Sorry to hear about your X52. Mine has lasted me quite some years with me only having to fix it a couple times. My issues was there was a wire rubbing in the throttle that would cause the mouse to go crazy once it finally chaffed through the coating. If I were you though, I would try wiggling the co...

Re: Keeping Flights interesting in A2a Warbirds?
I just fly the aircraft like I would in real life if I owned them. Use the P-47D/Cub for if I want to do aerobatics and such. Then use the B-17/B377 as transports and go around the virtual world checking out the sites, and visiting places I would like to go in real life if I had the money (and a per...

I am going to apologize in advance, as it has been many years since I joined this forum and have not read the ToS in forever. So if this violates it, like I said I am sorry and please feel free to delete this post. I was digging around on SoH and found this thread http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforu...

Re: Hey Scott, where did you get the F-4 Phantom sounds from?
While I am not part of A2A. Knowing their knack for videos and having access to flying examples of birds they make. The only one that still flies in the United States is owned and operated by the Collings Foundation: http://www.collingsfoundation.org/Houston/tx_f-4dphantom.htm . That would be my gue...

Re: Paintkit
Any chance of getting the paint kit back up at Gamershell? Have been hunting high and low for it but have not been able to locate it (sorry a little behind the power curve, but just now am getting into repainting birds).

Pre-flighting the oxy gauges.. issue/diff. between B17/P47
Keep in mind the aircraft flies and operated flawlessly, and in flight the oxy system works exactly as advertised. This is just a system I check on deck due to the oxy failures I have experienced in the P-47.. Now in the P-47 I do it, I turn the red emergency handle, and turn the mixture to 100% flo...

Re: F4U Corsair Accusim?
They have said before maybe at some point they will but there was no definite answer. I think they made the aircraft factory line on purpose so they wouldn't get accu-simed though. Just my .02. The bent wing bird definately deserves it I think, but like you said with the P-51, Spitfire,, and F-4 (I ...

Congrats on hitting 1000. That was quite a milestone for me myself. Especially seeing as I just crossed 1100. I am hoping 2000 comes a lot sooner though.

Re: A2A Walk Around of the P-51 Mustang "Moonbeam McSwine"
They have always had a joystick configuration utility since the first one (377).. Just cannot configure every single switch/button to a joystick button/switch. I have always used it to link the turbo levers to my slider switch on my X52. The B-17 I have done the same for the manifold pressure knob, ...

Ahhh the wait is killing me! (No not begging for release)
Was just checking the June 2010 update thread for the millionth time, and flew around in my WOPII P-51 just imagining what Accu-sim with it will be like. I know once we do get updates that will pretty much mean release in imminent I suppose as has been custom in the past. In the meantime though have...

Re: F4 Phantom In Development Picts
You can insure anything for a price. For me to insure a Bugatti Veyron is a cool $13,000 a month for liability. So I am sure the costs for that F-4 are astronomical. Not to mention the maitenance, and fuel. They must burn through tons of fuel in that aircraft just flying it from show to show. ...

Re: Giving A2A their props over at PMDG
Amen to that. Hopefully more companies will step up to the plate like these 2 have. I think VR Simulations is pretty close to A2A/PMDG in my book. He has definately done well for the extremely small team he has.
